Yes.

I never realized for a long time that most people do not talk to animals in their own language!

For example, I train my animals with animal sounds. When my cats would be doing something wrong, I would hiss under my breath and they understood it was wrong. When I want my dogs to stop something they are doing I use the word 'No' but I also growl in my throat.

I am their alpha and they respect me as such but for that reason they also adore me more than anyone else.

When I sleep, my dogs curl up with me and I snuggle them and scent them, because in my mind and theirs, we are 'pack'.

My animals and my humans are my pack :)

I care more about my dogs than I care about other humans.

I have always had a special bond with my cats. I loved them all and got to know them very easily. Cats are easy to understand and they even have their own different meows for different situations. I love very much to interact with them and other animals. I wonder sometimes if aspies are better with animals because they have a repect and regard for them? As a kid, my favorite place to go was the zoo to see the animals.. my favorite spot? the petting zoo, with a pocketful of quarters for the food pellet dispenser. It was not enough to just see the animals. oh, no. I wanted to meet the animals.

My son and I both love cats, although we like dogs, too. I know what you mean about "wanting to meet the animals." When my son was around five, I went to visit a friend in FL and we took him to Busch Gardens. They had a primate area there, and there were a couple of baby chimpanzees playing in the wooded enclosure. My son watched them closely, totally fascinated, then kept asking "can I go play with them?" He wanted to just walk through the gate and join in! He did that at other zoos, too, when he was younger.

I like animals more than most people.. I wish I could work with animals somehow without having to work with people simultaneously.. I used to volunteer at a wildlife care center -- loved the animals, but a couple of the people started to backstab me and play "office politics"... Since we were all enclosed in a building together, it started to get ugly.. I think I'd rather have a job out in nature somehow, away from people.. just working with the animals alone...

I've always loved zoos and being in nature.. I really like nature photography also.

I like observing animals, but i seem extremely poor at "bonding" with them.

I find that I'm happier around animals, than I am, around most people. I love animals, and I'm really good with them. :O)
