I never thought I'd find so many others who thought they were aliens like I did when I was a kid. Funny humans still confuse me. Anyway, I have been called number 5, because I'm always moving and needing input. I've also been compared to Commander Data, after he had just received his emotion chip. Both of these characters could express simple emotions, and number 5 had some funny melt downs. Just ask my NT husband.

When I was 5, I literally believed I was an alien from the planet Krexafax....are you in my solar system? Perchance we are neighbors?

The logo for my company is called a 'Smalien' as both my husband and I consider ourselves to be Smiley Aliens on a strange planet. It's like my avatar except he wears headphones and has an orange mohawk.

on the robotic thing it depends also with what I have been doing recently. If I've been deep into a project or in tech world for a while then I tend to become less sociable. It's an either or for me. I can either work or be sociable when I relax in between projects so now I plan for this.

LOL It's hard to say whether we might've been neighbors or not. I don't remember where I came from, only the strangely familiar dreams.

Probably we are. Do you know whether this planet is anywhere near Suisada? I always thought I was from there, when I was a child.

Being a science fiction fan, I have identified with robots for a long time. I think in a sense, all human beings are robots, albeit most of them are malfunctioning ones.

I'm not sure a cult of Aspies would work. Cult mentality requires a bunch of people following cues of peer pressure, mob mentality, and a respect of charismatic people.

Perhaps you can see the problem there

I don't feel like a robot. I like alien though. I used to think that I was not human. Because whenever I heard someone say something about how humans are, I often felt that did not fit me at all. So I figured that if they really knew how all humans worked, then logically I could not really be one. I was never sad about that.

I'm neither a robot nor an alien.

I never identified with either. I'm perfectly human. Almost.

The other 6.5bn people on this planet are aliens. I concluded that I'm the only normal person, hehe.

all of those bullet points you just mentioned are exactly why we arnt robots. everyone else pretty much does the exact opposite of all that hehe, thats why they cant stand us! :P

i think that we as a group are more individual than anyone else. we can appreciate each other for the interests we share in a wide variety of topics without having to necessarily agree with each other on what is actually interesting. that is what 'normal' people cant do, and i think its class that we dont share that robotic need to join in with the crowd.
