I was born lefty, but I had a teacher for 1st who apprently figured that leftys where... wrong. So she taught all of us to write with our right hands. So, I eat and cross my arms and all that like a lefty, but I write with my right hand.

And man is it sloppy. I tried writing with my left hand one day, and I could do just as well with it as I could my right, which has had years of training.

I'm left handed mainly....

Write...left
Throw...right
Bowl...right
Golf...either way
Shoot...right hand but left eye dominant
Hold my kid...left
carry something heavy...both
thumb wrestle best with...both
arm wrestle best...both
carry a tray when serving...left
smoke with and drink with...both, but prefer left

When I was very young I was ambidextrous- I just got into the habit of always using my right hand though. I've started practising with my left hand again though and my handwriting doesn't look that much different from normal (i.e. it's still illegible)

I write with my left hand, but a lot of things I do right-handed.

It's not that I'm ambidextrous, exactly... I have one dominant hand for each task, it's just not the same hand for every task.

I got something similar... my left hand is more dominant for task that require precision (such as writing), while my right hand is more suited to tasks that need physical strength...

I was a lefty until I went to school and then was forced to become a righty for writing. I do everything else lefty. My son is ambidextrous but also stronger on left side.

It depends on which hand gets to the pencil first. :D

not just writing, but sometimes I'll find my right hand doing things that my left hand was doing just the day before...it's weird.

Maybe with AS it's a higher chance of being left-handed. My brother is AS and is left-handed. I am also AS but am right-handed.
