I've seen this video before and it's a great explination about Autism and Asperger's.

It's the parenthesis. an 8 with a ) after it is the emoticon for sunglasses, so the forum automatically replaced what it thought was a text emoticon with an image emoticon.

Example: (He's 8) vs. [He's 8].
