i've been wearing glasses longer than i can even remember (and as im adopted i dont have the information of when i started to wear them) - i was definatl;y younger than 5 though.

i have amblyopia (which i just found out after all these years!)
that means lazy eye

my eyes do not work together and as a consequence my brain thought it would be ok to look out of one eye and use the other as backup (my left eye is the lazy one)

when i look out with both my eyes now i get double vision

however i have a new prescription on the way - blue frames - and they are poutting prism in the lenses (changing the direction in which my left eye looks to try and get it to work more together with the right eye)

the eye doc told me my sight in terms of the American way - which i underestand lol..

20/20 is perfect vision

mine is left eye - 5/20 right eye 10/20...

cant wait to get my new glasses... cos these are taped on the left arm and have string on to hold them on my face! they were broken 2 monthsw ago and have been like this since!

I only wear glasses if I'm driving. As for eye problems, I'm slightly near-sighted and my right eye is a lazy eye.

I've worn glasses since I was 10. My left eye is a lazy eye, and I had two surgeries on it when I was a kid. To no avail, since I still have it.

Hmmm, I'm seeing a lot of ppl with lazy eyes here. I wonder what is the percentage of aspies that have it, and if there is a genetic tie in.

i notice this as well, i have a feeling that since aspergers effects fine muscle tone or delays it that since eyes use small muscles that they are developed late or weak with no improvement. and maybe this is what makes up for most aspies to have low vision or problems seeing,

I have perfect vision. My senses of touch, hearing, and sight are all pretty good. My sense of smell and taste are the horrible ones. I do wear glasses though :D but that's because my eyes are very very sensitive to light, and because sunglasses=no eye contact :D

I am not really sure what I am.

About 2 weeks ago I began to have a hard time focusing on my computer monitor, it was effecting my work so I got a eye exam. They gave me glasses however when I wear them far off object look blurry, and close objects don't look very different at all, but they make the computer screen look very crisp!

I call them my computer glasses because that is the only reason I wear them, if I look away from the screen I have to take them off because everything looks weird. I am even afraid to drive wearing them because everything look blurry with them.

My vision is fine, though I haven't had my eyes checked in a long time. I can still see everything decently.

I am far sighted and wear glasses. I would wear contacts but my eyes are way too sensitive. :x

I've never worn glasses. Last time I was examined by an ophthalmologist, she told me my eyesight was "wonderful".

I'm a little bit nearsighted (or at least my prescription is pretty weak), and I have astigmatism in one eye.

I REALLY need new glasses...my current pair were cheap medicare ones, and one of the lenses got scratched up something awful :x

I am mildly nearsighted in my left eye (20/40) and nearsighted in my lazy right eye (20/100, or something like that). I've worn glasses since I was ten. My right eye wasn't that bad until I was eight and started seeing double... then it went. I started doing vision therapy last year with a prism, so my prescription hasn't changed for a while, and I feel less eyestrain.

I've had glasses since I was in first grade. I am nearsighted. My eyes still haven't adjusted and I can see only a few inches away (without blurriness).
