I used to have a terrible time making up my mind between two things I wanted to buy when I was a child. I would sit there deliberating for up to half an hour — by which time my mother would always do something to influence the decision. She always wanted me to make my own mind up, but would give in when it seemed to her we'd be sitting there until the mall closed.
And now that I'm older and have to support myself, I have a hard time deciding whether to buy things at all. I'm very wary of spending money, and sometimes I refuse to get something but then dearly regret it because I really did like it a lot. If there's a new dress I want, I have to go back to the store and try it on three or four times before I decide anything.
