Wow, I didn't think anybody else experienced that. There are times it's a little disconcerting to me not having a feeling of a 'story' happening over 2 decades.

My autobiographical memory is really poor, though. And I can rarely keep straight what happened when.

I actually have a very good memory when it comes to remembering my childhood. I can remember back to when I was 3. Sometimes I even remember stuff that other people forgot!

I feel like re-explaining that I remember early parts of my childhood...I remember being carried and seeing my grandfather who died when I was 2...andI remember him sitting in his big leather recliner...I remember various high chairs and booster seats at resuraunts....I remember going to various pre-schools...before the age of 5....I have crib memories...though maybe I was in a crib longer than the average kid..but I remember the mobile over my crib...I remember several little details up till I was about 7...and then everything gets very sketchy....

I have a handful of memories of every year starting back around four, but my memories are as few for age five as for age twelve, and I'm eighteen now.

The thing about my memories is that they are starkly different after age nine. Before then I was completely unaware of any social deficency I might have, and everything is those memories is so intense; too bright, too loud, etc. I also don't remember people. However, when I turned nine, I started remembering people and things with details. I sort of think that's the age when I become self-aware.

I am not sure when my self-awareness kicked it...I do think it must have happened very slowly.

I can say that I drank out of a bottle until i was 7 and wet the bet until 8 or 9.....and had a herd time dressing myself properly into high school...though I did attempt to become more fashionable...

I remember most of mine. I think I have the parts of being a foster child and being forced to see my biological mother blocked out.

I have odd memories from childhood which pop up from time to time. Some not good but often memories of doing very mundane things, watching a butterfly on a flower, a bus ride, going shopping with my mother...the everyday things seem to 'stick' more than the major stuff, like the day I started school. I don't remember that.

I remember bits and peices.

I remember being socially tortured by the NT's ... always.. Probably because of the meltdowns!! ! OY VAY I had craploads of meltdowns.....

I remember NEVER fitting IN and NEVER KNOWING why. 8O

My parents were/are idiots moving every year. 3 times in 5th grade. I think that is why I never got Dx'd until ADULTHOOD. I am 41 now & have only now just starting to accepted it. I thought if I try hard enough, if I am nice enough, am receptive enough. I would be okay... no such luck

I thought thats why I never fit in. I was never able to develope friendships. I still have no social abilities and have 0 friends because of it.

WOW what an awakening

The earliest thing I remember is my parents getting divorced when I was 4. I have extremely vivid memories in general, many things after around age 8 I remember as if they were yesterday.
