I have always wanted a dog since being an adult, I would love to have one to go walking with as I know it wouldn't walk into traffic if I had a complex partial seizure while walking, when I was young we always had dogs. I love them I think they make very good companions. We live in a place that doesn't allow them and it's unlikely we can ever move anytime soon. We have a cat he is nice and although I am not a cat person I love him very much he even will warn me before I have a sizure so I know to lay somewhere safe. the goldendoodle's look so nice although we always had poodles at my family's house.

I do best with Carolina dogs and other dingo-ish breeds. Probably because they don't bark, or smell in the same way other dogs do. : ) Though I loves me my puppies in general. I think you'll be okay with whatever you choose.

If you don't mind brushing all of that fur, and can deal with that breed's genetic issues you should be fine. If in a hot/ humid clime, they should be shorn of their fur during the summer months. --Also, like many other Northern Breeds, they should never be taken off a leash as they have a higher prey drive and are more likely to run off, possibly into busy traffic.
