I don't know much about Australia, other than the stuff I've heard about in pop culture: Fosters beer, kangaroos, Steve Irvin, and vegemite. However, when I was little, I used to believe that everything was upside down in Australia.

Aha is Norwegian.

What I know about Australia? Humm..

They have the wolds largest coral reef, it is the smallest continent, kangaroos, wallabys, koalas, I read somewhere that there are camels there too, and the ornithorhynchidae (strangest animal I've ever seen), tasmanian devil, the kiwi bird, dingos, capital city is Canberra, the aborigines (not sure they fitted in here along all the animals  ), australian football, AC/DC is from Australia, Kylie Minouge, Savage garden, Midnight oil, national anthem is Advance Australia fair, there is three time zones, Highest point is Mount Kosciuszko (2,220 If I remember correctly) *gasp*

Yes, I am a big Aussie-fan.. Would love to go down under sometime..

^Kiwi is from New Zealand. I think they would get offended if we claim anything of theirs to be ours.

I'd like to point out to our friends overseas that we don't drink Fosters in Australia. It is marketed so well overseas but we don't drink that crap here.

I have an a-ha CD :) But unfortunately they are not Aussie. But we like to adopt foreigners as our own even if they have a small connection with Australia.

Nobody mentioned Nicole Kidman as an actress. She's our most popular one!! !

And I love living in Australia because I love motorbikes and we have a lot of roads here and good weather all year round to go riding.

Maybe I was outdated or misquoted, but I found this info on wikipedia.

Although an island is, in general, any land mass that is completely surrounded by water, some definitions exclude land masses large enough to be considered continents. Placing Australia in the latter category (even though arguments can be made whether it is technically a continent, or merely part of the larger continent called Australasia) makes Greenland the largest island. For the sake of classification the list of islands will begin with Greenland.
