I love fireworks! I especially loved the ones during the opening of the Summer Olympics. It was the only reason I wanted to be in Beijing at the time, I know the crowds and hotel costs must be enormous and I am not that much into the ultra touristy type events where everything is overinflated. I prefer off seasons and low keyedness.
When I saw the fireworks at the Birds Nest I did envy the lucky ones who got to see them in person. It must have been quite an astounding event.
