I try to keep things in their original condition for as long as possible too. I do my best to not scratch my things, to not make new shoes dirty, to not damage the corners or pages of books or magazines etc. I hate it if something gets scratched or damaged. Depending on what it is, I sometimes get very upset and sometimes just briefly upset.

On the rare occasion that I lose something I'm completely devastated.

When I buy a DVD, I will carefully cut the plastic so it still covers most of the box, but still be able to pull out the CD. I do this in hopes to protect the box it comes in from wear. It seems to help.

I really hate it when I drop a CD jewel case and one of the hinges snaps off. Since I am clumsy, it happen often. :(
