I support the Cleveland Browns (despite never liking any football)
I love to see bulls completly mess up a matador or an elephant stomp a abusive trainer.
Of course in the real world after these animal rebel they are killed.
People suck.

I forget which Alien movie it was in which Sigourney Weaver finds and destroys the alien's eggs, and the alien comes after her in revenge -- because the alien was female, and those were HER eggs -- her children. Anyway, I was pregnant for the third time when I saw that movie after two (devastating) miscarriages, so every time the alien scored a hit against Sigourney I had to bite my tongue to keep from yelling "Aw RIGHT, Mama!"

I sometimes feel sympathy towards the underdog, even in situations where it's not clear that he/she/it is.

But taking sides is another matter entirely, and when it comes to taking specific actions besides merely sympathizing, I tend to consider underdoggishness as irrelevant.

So... no, I don't side with the underdog.

Hi there,

It, probably, also has to do with the fact that we ourselves feel we are the underdogs amongst nt-lets most of the time and also the times we were bullied so unfairly in the past.

Feeling a underdog yourself makes you sympathize with the underdog(s) you come across in live. Is that plausible?

Bye,

Yes, I sympathize hugely with the underdog because of some unfortunate personal experiences.

I live in a college full of people with various disabilities; blindness, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy and ASDs. You have to learn to look out for these people because a lot of them are less able than I am and I feel proud when I stick up for them. People are extremely ignorant about disability. I also support people who are gay unless they 'play around' if you know what I mean, but I don't like when straight people do that either.

I would say generally I stick up for the underdog - but I think it's more that I have some pet causes, and also I like to play devil's advocate.

Underdog. Always.

It is usually a lot better and makes more sense anyways

On the note of sticking up for people being bullied; I was bullied as a kid because...well because I was me. :? Now that I am somebody else, in a matter of speaking, I find myself sticking up for others who get bullied...it helps being a larger person. And non-emotional person tends to intimidate without resorting to violence also.

Very much so... mostly because, well, as an asexual person with a cleft lip, a skin condition and being (in all likelihoods) somewhere on the spectrum, I got a lot of crap myself. I always hung out with the other people who were unlikely to have many friends, so long as they were nice people. I probably couldn't easily relate to someone who wasn't somehow different or put-upon - I've tried, but such people rarely understand or have empathy beyond a certain point.

I stand up for the underdog, as well. Again, so long as someone's not being a jerk, they deserve to say their piece and be themselves without anyone harming them for it. I've sometimes gotten in trouble for intervening, but hey, it's better than standing by as bad things happen to defenseless individuals and feeling like a coward afterwards. It's just, when someone stood up for me when I was a kid, I was always so happy that someone cared enough about me to take my side. I want to make other people who have done nothing wrong but are excluded feel that way too.

Probably my sympathy for the underdog is also the reason why I tend to like unlikely heroes and unpopular characters in fiction, too.

I always love to stick up for the underdog, especially when watching football or other sports. Coming from Philly, thats no hard task.

yes, I post on the central core site and argue tor those advocating incest, beastiality and pedophilia....yes seriously...

...well that and on TOTSE.....remember when supposedly a bunch of people thought I was a pedo on that site...

....kind've funny when people pull out 'YOU SICK f**k' as their argument and pull social manipulative s**t....

..and when I pull out Kinsey on their ass they try to attack those studies and the like...hey, the US Congress did it against the Rind study.

Been doing that since ~2005-2 years before I was diagnosed with Aspergers. Felt good when some people acknowledged that I was not alone in this regard....the pedos on core and TOTSE gave me ammunition for debate! :P

same for me, though I sympathiize with those who are willing to stand up for those underdogs-see Seung-Hui Cho...
