Yes, now I remember I did that quite frequently in school until I was in grade 4 or so

Wow. I do this, too. I guess this would be considered a form of stimming?

Yes I would think so, I bite my nails and that is also a stim

Amazing. I realize I am early in the discovery process, but it seems like every day I identify at least one behavior or action that is particularly Aspie. I have a lot to learn.

heh, been there :) my first 100 posts were about, wow i do this too... i kept a piece of paper and a pen with me and wrote all the traits down, then some of the notes i used to write a long blog article about it so when i wanted to tell a friend who should know the reasons for some of my behaviors i sent him reading that. but be careful who you tell.

I used to chew lightly on the backs of the schoolbus seats when i was really young, untl my mom told me would get mouth "bobos". Had a slight fear of that through my entire primary and secondary experience, good thing by the time i got to seconday school, i just slept. Best distraction to a bad life is to just sleep through it. Saved me alot of pain through high school.

I chew things almost all the time but don't tend to realise I'm doing it. Because of this I end up chewing my fingers or lips until they bleed. A lot of my pens, pencils, zips, shirt buttons and collars are very chewed as well.

I've bitten my nails since I had teeth. Also pens, pencils, other stuff.
