Clothes
I like super-tight clothing and tend to wear cotton only, although sometimes there are comfortable non-cotton fabrics, too (rarely, though). I do try to keep to latest fashions because I don't want to stand out in a general crowd, so I go for both stylish and comfortable.

Do you hate certain materials?

Do you like skimpy clothing or clothing that covers most of your body?
I despise labels, and they are all ruthlessly eliminated with a pair of scissors as soon as I bring the clothes home (this only applies to all shirts and only a few sports shorts, most pants are ok).
I do not have a certain material or blend that I prefer, so long as the material is soft to the touch. I have found that some synthetic materials can be soft as can natural materials and some are rough or itchy just like some natural materials. So I have to touch everything I get both the outside and inside.
I have to have loose clothing, this means that I rarely end up raring bras.
I prefer clothes that cover my body, my midriff must be covered and no air can seep through the shirt and pants,(so I wear undershirts that are tucked in all the time. I am heat tolerant so I layer up during the fall, winter and early spring (or anything under 80 degrees Fahrenheit). All shorts must go to at least my knees, and tops can not dip too far down.
I am generally wearing jeans and tee shirts, but I can wear other clothes if needed, but my nice clothes are carefully chosen for comfort.

my picture is my ear defenders that i wear all the time. pictured is silencio earmuff, l1 howard leight, i also own 12 howard leight (not pictured) .
My dress style is pretty dull and rigid. I don't like brand labels so I buy plain t's. I might buy a patterned shirt if I like the colours of the stripes. For jumpers I wear hoodies or I try to find cheap wool fisherman style jumpers. I wear patterned board shorts in summer, blue jeans or cargo pants when it's cold. I usually stick to skate type shoes.
The only tags that really bother me are the ones on the side of the shirt around the rib/side area. I rip those off as soon as I feel them raking at me. Other than that I hate socks with the seam at the very end that you can feel with the front of your toes. I try to find thick socks that have the seam running across the top of the toes.
Objectives for clothing:
Warmth
Protection
Camouflage
By virtue of these objectives, I wear semi-tight fitted shirts, because I work in my garage a lot and would not want anything to snag. I also only ever wear full-length straight or boot cut pants, so as to protect my legs and give me versatility in selection of terrains through which I may walk [protection]. The shirts also aid in preserving my natural body shape (long and slender) and not distort it to make me look like a hunch-back. I do not wish to draw any attention [camouflage]. In the winter I wear hooded jackets. I do not use the hood, but I like the pockets and feel as though a non-hooded jacket is not age appropriate for me and may draw attention to me [warmth] [camouflage].
Do you hate labels and have to cut them off?
Yes, I do despise labels. They're extremely irritating to me. I like tagless clothing, but if it isn't I will cut it off. I also CANNOT tolerate the lining in socks. I either have to cut it out, flip the socks around, or find socks without a lining. I simply can't wear them.
Do you hate certain materials?
Yes. I really don't like wool or materials that are constricting and anything that isn't soft. If it was washed too many times, it tends to get to that point- I don't always like washing my clothing for that reason.
Do you like tight or loose clothing?
Loose. I like loose shirts especially that cover my butt, since I wear leggings. I can only tolerate wearing tight leggings and underwear. I cannot wear tight clothing on the top half of me no matter what. I feel as though I'm going to suffocate if I do.
Do you like skimpy clothing or clothing that covers most of your body?
Clothing that covers most of my body. I don't like showing cleavage, and so I am very particular about having tanktops underneath my loose shirts for that reason. I don't like people being able to see them at all. When it is hot, I still cover myself completely, but I do wear long shorts and tanktops that cover my chest.
Labels rarely bug me. I can't even feel them either.
I cannot stand wool or whatever feels scratchy on me. I can wear it if I wear clothes under it.
I used to hate tight clothing and now I don't mind it. If pants are too loose on me, I don't like it. I need them snug around my butt.
I prefer clothes I feel comfortable in. In the summer I prefer no clothes at all but that will change soon. I won't have a choice. I also wear socks because I cannot stand to go barefoot. I will usually wear the same clothes because it's easier than deciding on what to wear. I will also stay in my pajamas unless I leave the apartment.
My skin is sensitive to fabrics (and most other things) lightly brushing against it, which makes me itch and throws my focus, so I usually stick to snug-fitting clothes, though I can wear a loose shirt over a snug t-shirt because that way I'm protected from the shirt. Cotton is less of a problem in that way. Only snug, mind, not tight. Tight would give me sensory issues and I'd feel like Harlequin or something, and probably look silly in the eyes of the mainstream. And I don't have any fat to hold in.
Cheesecloth is good because when I scratch my skin through it, the scratching is pretty effective, on account of the slight roughness of the fabric.
Clothing labels don't bother me much.
My skin is also sensitive to the sting of cold air, so I'm often wearing gloves and a hood, especially when cycling, while the weather is like it currently is in the UK.
I don't like wearing anything impractical. Even an ID badge at work would just get in the way. I don't like heavy clothes. I wouldn't wear a kilt.......might be fine for an experienced user, but it would distract me because I'd always be wondering what people could see and how to make sure they couldn't. And I haven't got the legs for it.
I don't even try to follow fashion styles.....wouldn't want to trade off comfort for impressing people with (as I see it) shallow values. A lot of it looks really stupid to me anyhow. Sometimes I've learned to like fashions but it's very hit-and-miss, and usually it's miss. I prefer "individual" clothing statements and homespun ideas for decorating the body, but I'm mindful that the common herd sometimes have some very narrow values and are easy to weird out with anything too far outside those limits. So my statements are very small ones.
Snug trousers seem to keep a better hold on the pocket contents too......I've had trouble losing stuff from baggy trouser pockets.
I don't usually bother much about how I look when I'm busy.....it gets in the way of my work. But I take some interest in my appearance, and don't like to look grubby. I like to keep a small supply of new t-shirts - white, black, red, yellow, navy - and tend to wear a colourless one when my outer clothes are colourful, and a coloured one when my outer clothes are colourless. Occasionally I'll dress in all black. I don't like the look of myself in light clothes but I don't know why.
Comfortable clothing is paramount, but if I can find something that's also stylish it's preferable. Mind you, my style doesn't always gel with the current fashion.
Wool drives me nuts, even the supposedly soft stuff. I can only cope with the really fine-grade wool that's too expensive. Labels are mostly okay. Sometimes I'll get one that makes me mad and resolve to chop it off, but I'll forget when I take it off, then I'll put it back on and the cycle will begin again. Anything lacey makes me itch, as do certain "technical" fabrics of the sort you find in modern thermal clothing. Decorative bits such as sequins can also be annoying.
I don't wear jewellery because the feel of it on my skin is distracting.
I'm very fussy about shoes. I like comfortable yet stylish numbers that fit my very narrow feet - and they're almost impossible to find.
Only ever wear baggy clothing, and have to cut tags off if there are any. Don't particularly care for fashion as much, so I guess I just try to go for a "normal" look.

i prefer old styles & old materials. i wish i could afford more vintage items. i never pick things to wear that "go together"--but rather, contrast. i like wearing more than one pattern. i almost always wear a hat when i am out. i have a bunch of hats. i love wool. i hate polyester, especially in its more slippery forms. i take special notice when i see a color that's not one of the usual clothing colors, & i think there is a particular pleasure in inbetween-colors. in general, i prefer bright colors to drab, though i've learned that people will prejudge you if you wear more than a very little of that. so these days i tone it down. when i was growing up i looked like a clown, but i didn't care. i still would if i didn't have to please the people at work. what's wrong with clowns, anyway?

They used to bother me when I was a child but somehow I got used to them.
I have never worn wool.
I like them a bit snug myself.
Yes, i know what you mean. Personally, I hate wearing socks with a passion. My feet become irritated and itchy. I end up taking them off after a while and I used to put my socks everywhere around the house including leaving them on the sofa in our family room. My wife hated that with a passion. I have the feeling that you would hate that too. I love to walk around in a white undershirt and my boxers.

I hate labels/tags on my shirts and some other clothes if i can't find a tag-less shirt I will cut the label off.
Yes there are some types of materials I can't stand such as wool. There is another type I hate even more I can't think of the materials name right now but I know it when I see it.
I like my clothing loose but not too loose.
I like clothing that covers most of my body. Yesterday it hit 80F/26C and I kept my hoody sweeter on all day. I was also wearing pants because I don't like shorts. I hate when things lightly touch my skin I even hate light breezes but my own clothing doesn't bother me. So I keep most of my skin covered with loose clothing.

I hate clothes I think both because of sensory problems and social anxiety,
I never feel comfortable, no matter what I wear
I have to cut off labels (I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one who does that) and I'm notoriously bad for skimpy clothing just because it's so much more comfortable and less restricting, but I like to cover up at the same time and you can't really wear shorts out all year,
I really do feel the weather badly as well, there only needs to be a slight breeze outside and I'll be freezing cold, and likewise with the heat, which makes choosing clothes every morning needlessly difficult.
I just don't understand fashion at all either and I really don't like clothes shopping, between the busy atmosphere in crowded shops and how uncomfortable the textures of most clothes are it always turns out to be a disaster. I can't remember the last time I went shopping for clothes and came home with something I actually liked or that even fitted. I panic in the shop and rush into buying the weirdest things. I love baggy clothes, though. I usually look like an explosion in the fabric factory, or like I've never looked in a mirror before in my life.
I can't stand things that are too tight and I hate jeans, If I could abolish one thing in the world it would be jeans they look nice on other people but denim makes me cringe.
I don't like wearing new or different clothes either, I like continuity and tend to wear the same outfit for an entire week.
Honestly, just thinking about clothes makes me exhausted, it's more trouble than it's worth. Clothes are for people with too much time on their hands, I think. Still, I'd really like to learn how to dress myself without any fuss, maybe someday I'll learn how to 'clothes'.
If I could live in my pajamas, I would.
I don't like labels on clothes, but I've found that a lot of brands no longer use physical tags and just print the size and other info on the inside of the clothing. When I do come across something with an actual tag, I cut it off. I like things that are somewhat loose, and I get bothered if my sleeves are too long, so I usually only wear clothes with short sleeves. I hate jeans and any type of pants that aren't stretchy. I always wear leggings because of this. I don't like wearing too much clothing (like layers) but I do like to keep covered at the same time (if that makes any sense).
