Do not EVER leave me alone in the toy section with toys that have demo buttons.

Normally I head staight for the Vtech toys and see how many I can start up at once.

Add my name to the list of button pushers. Any button will do, remote-control buttons, car-radio buttons, phone buttons to name a few. And computer keyboard keys if that counts.

Buttons were a big obsession for me 46 years ago. Fascinating: belly buttons, panic buttons, clothing buttons, furniture buttons, electronic buttons (though dials were more common then), lip buttons (as in be quiet, but I made a visual ). The power of the positive button!!

The concept of the button is a fastener/starter. Similar to a key, they are a means to an end. All I did was to make them something more than just to use. I enjoyed them for just being buttons!!

Actually, no. Not at all. I'm not even remotely interested in pressing real buttons.

I never understood why other kids found it interesting, even fascinating. I thought most adults had lost that interested by becoming older, too.

My thought, too (and that I do unintentionally aggravate people)-but hoped thread was about actual buttons.

My mother had certain issues, and one was that she insisted on our only having a rotary-dial phone, which she must have liked-but which I loathed.
I adore the touch-tone buttons on my phone, compared with that. Also, liked calculators & electric typewriters (later, computer keyboards) merely for the ease of depressing keys.

However, I do not have urges to press buttons that could lead to anything bad happening, such as ones in public, elevators, machines that might trap me or malfunction, so I fear such buttons instead-because it's too easy to accidentally create a disaster (as I see it).

Figuratively: yeah, it can be fun sometimes.

I love seeing toys with demo buttons ! ! I go down the entire row, starting them all in sequence. Then I start all over again ! !
