Instant Messenger, E-Mail, and Social Networks

I'm considering deleting my Facebook. It reinforces the thought pattern that people don't care, such as when you update your "status" — this is like walking into a room full of your friends and saying "this is how I feel, this is what's going on in my life" and being rewarded with silence.
LOL-- exactly. That's why I never got a facebook account in the first place. MySpace doesn't do much for me, either, I just keep the account to keep in touch with distant relatives. I'm lousy at social networking, I hate forwarding those stupid chain letters people send me (I delete them, so I think I have 580 years of bad luck and misery racked up now), and I rarely email people unless I have to. I don't whine about a lack of social networking skills, though. People start annoying me after a while, and I annoy them in return.
