I know I am rhesus negative, but it is either A or AB. I have not really checked. My mother is rhesus negative.

I got a B+ on my blood test, and I didn't even study!

On the other hand, one of my favorite bands is Type O Negative...

I am subject to a permanent exclusion from donation--for reasons that do not impress me.
Why?

Some of the reasons for a permanent exclusion:

-Any positive result on an AIDS test, even a false positive.
-Any use of recreational drugs or steroids by injection.
-For men: Any act of sex with a man since 1977. (Women are allowed to donate after one year of discontinuing sexual relations with a homosexual provided that they pass an AIDS test.)
-Any permanent residence in Africa [including being born there] since 1977, or any receiving of blood or blood products in Africa.
-Three months or longer stay in the United Kingdom or other area where the human form of mad cow disease is prevalent.

Agreed. 'October Rust' and 'World Coming Down' are among my favorite hard rock/metal albums. In my late teens, my (then) drummer and I actually tried to emulate Peter and Josh, as per our personalities.

On a more germane note, my blood type is A-.

A- here. Buggered if I know where I get that, everyone around me is Rh+ve.

I've been told I should donate blood due to the relative rarity of my blood. Maybe I will :)

B+ apparently. For years, my parents flipped back and forth with blood types (B+ and O+); they knew my father and I were the same type and my mother and little brother were the other but could never remember which was which. My brother just got back his blood donation card and it lists him as O+, which means I'm the B+ one. (Interestingly enough, my donor card did not list a blood type, but I can't donate again for another half year, and they never get much blood from me when I go in anyway.)

I really don't know what my blood type is. I think it's like A+ or O+.
