I buy a few CDs every month. My music collection is getting big, but it doesn't approach my vast library of books yet. I have entire shelves devoted to King novels. 8O

This is a list of things I collect or have collected (in no particular order-- the ones in BOLD are still active collections):

1. books
a. Autism booka
b. Schizophrenia books
c. psych books in general

d. poetry books
e. classic literature
f. serial killer books (and general criminology/forensics)
2. movies (various genres or actors)
a. X-Files (no longer an active collection because I have them all :D )
3. cat figurines (and for one summer I actually collected cats-- my record was 9)
4. Looney Tunes figurines (and some Disney)
5. stamps
6. coins
7. Garfield comic books
8. Coca Cola memoribilia
9. Pepsi memoribilia
10. information (I love to print out stuff)
11. stuffed animals (this was my first collection)
12. baseball cards
13. Spiderman cards
14. Magic cards (unfortunately, I have no idea where these went)
15. serial killer cards
16. interesting objects, like decorative boxes, kewel figurines, etc.

There's been MANY more collections, but at present I can't remember them all. I do aspire to begin an antique books collection. So far, I have Freud's 1953 1st Edition translation of Aphasia. I'd also just love to begin a general antiques collection.

Collecting is my life and my most pleasurable obsession. Even when I'm doing psychology, I feel like I'm collecting information.

My tagline since I was three years old: "I have to have the whole collection!"

I seem to be collecting old audio gear lately. I have 8 receivers, 3 pairs of speakers, 4 cassette decks, 2 reel-to-reel machines, 3 turntables and an 8-track player. Some of it actually works! I also have a couple of old TVs (relatively speaking) and about 2500 LPs.

One time I was taking a test which ended with an essay question. The test was easy, but the essay asked me to write about collecting stuff. This was an absolute nightmare because I don't collect anything!

I ended up writing about collecting salamanders. It was not received well. :x

Forgive the poor American. I don't know exactly what "bathers" are, but I have this image of pairs of beach and pool goers.
