My head tilts down and to the right. Always being reminded to straighten up the posture for the picture.

I used to walk around with my right ear resting on my right shoulder probably 40-50% of the time. I eventually got sick of people picking on me about it, and gradually taught myself to stop doing it (too often, at least).

I used to do this in high school - walk around with my head tilted one way or the other, as if I was deep in thought. Then one day another girl tilted her head the same way before saying hi. I hadn't realized I'd been walking around like that until she did it, so after that I paid more attention. I don't think I've done it for a while.

I think it just came out of not paying any attention to my posture, and basically not really being in my body much.

I've never noticed myself doing it, but I see it in pictures. Every picture I have of myself includes me tilting my head. I'm willing to bet that I do it quite often, actually. I just do not relize I am doing it.

i have a permanently tilted head - quite noticeably and severely. Every photo ever taken of me shows it. I tilt to the right. is this an odd ASD posture thing? i had no idea. ALthough i have felt that the two sides of my body are completely out of whack with each other. I have fine balance on my right side and it is non-existent on my left. anyone know if this stuff is related to AS or are we just a bunch of ASD people on this thread who happen to tilt?? I am all ears (right ear actually) to any answers.

Yep, I do this. I am never aware of it unless I look at photos of myself.

When it happens, it always seems like that dog in the RCA Victor logo, sitting in front of the old-time gramophone, tilting its head.

It's as if its dog-saying, "wtf?"

My dog does that a lot when she hears a strange noise.

I tilt my head when I watch theatre or if I'm listening to someone give a speech. It's usually when I'm interested in what's going on.

I do it all the time, to the right. Old school pictures and others show me doing it. I have several from when I was a baby and a toddler and I was doing it then. I was doing it when I was reading the thread.

I do this all the time. In fact, I have a tendency to lean completely. I had a video sent to me once where I'm sitting in my chair, and I'm so obviously leaning to the right for no reason. It feels so much more natural for me to be leaning and having my head tilted than to sit up straight.

I sometimes find myself doing this when I'm driving (just slightly) but like others catch myself and stop.

I do this all the time, I haven't got a formal diagnosis (just a few offhand comments about AS from my psychiatrist) but this isn't the first trait of mine I've recognized on these forums.

Tilt my head sometimes. Don't know how often because am not very aware of my posture. But know that I always tilt my head when I watch tv because have gotten a lot of comments about that.
