Basically: this kind of person versus not this kind of person; sums up the whole range of projections, transferences, fantasies and occasional moments of insight from others.

At best, people just misunderstood you for a while, at worst they misrepresent you, persecute you and then a whole load of trouble ensues.

God save us all from other peoples ignorance.

The only thing i know for certain people mistake me for is rude. I'm pretty out of it, so people think I'm ignoring them!

I suspect people have also thought I am stoned, though, and I think maybe some people I've thought I was mentally handicapped.

My list: rude, doormat, blunt, liar, selfish, not selfish enough, clueless, astronaut, angry, aggressive, pessimistic (for daring say outloud that the king is nude), crazy, loser, and what not.

I didn't care for other people, I was selfish, spoiled, brat, stupid, as*hole, shy, and I suppose people think I am antisocial and aloof, and a little rude, but they can all tell I am very honest and straightforward.
