it doesnt matter if words are spelled correctly. its been scientificly proven that if most of the words are there the brain knows what the word is

Not so. I have no problems reading dyslexic handwriting, but if it's in text such as here and it's not spelt correctly, I can have problems and more often than not, re-read.

I only rely on spell checker to check the word and I check which word it is supposed to be and manually edit it with the correct word to fit the grammar.

Very few people here (haven't seen them post here in a while) have very poor spelling, it is very hard to read. I just skip their posts if it's more than a few lines. That's what it must be like for dyslexics. No wonder they hate to read or would rather avoid it. No wonder school is hell for them. I would rather have it very mild if I had to have it. Sometimes I will read their long posts if I am that curious but I just struggle as I read and it takes me longer.

My daughter is dyslexic and because of that, I can understand the difficulties that dyslexics face. Once she becomes more comfortable with typing vs writing, she will become good at it. She is already better at typing..

if are bothered about spelling right then there are ways to do it [fire fox being the one mentioned here,am never knew about this one either,as a long time firefox user],or could use open office or microsoft word to write posts in-auto correct and copy and paste-a good WPer recommended this way to am for a language rather than spelling reason.

one thing am do not like,is when people try to force these ways on other users, and this doesnt really happen on WP as much, even though some will say they only like normal spelling or language which is their choice,am have seen abuse towards those who spell things wrong or different on another forum [a mixed disability forum],one example used was a dyslexic user being called lazy [for his spelling difficulties] instead of users replying to what he wrote, forums are not schools and disability forums especially-which does include spelling or language difficulties under the disability spectrum, should not attack a user for getting their spelling wrong,it isnt really a forum for disabled people,if it accepts some disabilities and difficulties but not others.

heaven knows I try, but my fingers are dyslexic (I'm not...;) Actually, being left-handed, I tend to come down too quickly on the left-hand of the keyboard, which switches letter pairs sometimes.

Lately I've developed some temporary carpal tunnel (at least I hope so), so sometimes I drop letters. The strange thing is that sometimes my fingers don't orient to home row, and I start typing in code...;)

But I have Firefox, which keeps me honest.

QFT. I've seen some intolerant people on this forum too, unfortunately. :(

FX or F(X) is the symbol or key for the "Function" of X on a calculator.

WP needs a F(x)key on the tool bar that performs the function of spell and grammar check.
