This also used to occur in Welsh. The naming system used to be along the lines of 'Morgan ap Dafydd' - 'Morgan, son of Dafydd'. Later, when surnames were adopted, the 'ap', in some cases, became blended into the second name, producing such examples as Pritchard (ap Richard), Powell (ap Howell/Hywel), Price (ap Rhys), Pugh (ap Hugh), etc.

My titles?
The Nobody. (I got to get myself a Proof of Existence...)
Or when I'm on a Harry Potter kick: The Slytherin Nobody [and/or] The Death Eater Nobody (even though I'm definitly not evil enough to be a Death Eater, lol.)

Other minor titles:
That Weird Goth Girl.
Bi***.
The Muffin Queen.
Cheeto Girl.
Wolfie.

Do not forget the title! topic

No one ever entitled me to an entitlement!

I had a nickname when I was 15, "Spook". (My birthday is Hallowe'en.)

When I was a kid, until the age of 15, I was called by my last name by aquaintences. Only adults referred to me by my first name. :?

I often refer to people by titles, eg "The poodle woman" (woman who walks her standard poodle near where I live). If anyone does that to me, I would not know.

My on-line usernames are what I go by now.

I am so much my online username, that a lot of people I know just call me pad or padium. Only people I really know well... all 7 or so of them, plus my sister, who I wish I didn't know, call me Paul.
