I've never heard of anyone making assault or rape charges stick without some kind of evidence. As a matter of fact, I've heard that rape charges are very difficult to win in court for cases of say "date rape" in which the woman might not have been particularly physical in her protests. Generally I think there has to be bruising of some kind and preferably torn skin under somebody's fingernails.

There are some exceptions however to the rule that you always have to have proof. Tiff and I recently had a run in with a particularly nasty woman who's a con artist - lies, steals, and then claims that the people she lied to and stole from did the reverse to her instead. One of her tricks was that because she had this chocolate Labrador she liked and wanted to keep him around (and use him for various cons), she discovered that you can buy the vests that service animals wear online, without having any kind of service animal certification. Further the service animal training covers a variety of conditions, one of which is seizures, and since there aren't any outward signs of the condition, it's easy to say "I've been in remission for a while, thank god, but who knows when that will change". And the topper to the whole thing... it's illegal for people to ask for proof of a service animal's certification or of the owner's condition.

So woohoo - you get to take the dog around you anywhere you like, get into arguments with people about the law (because most folks aren't familiar with it), and occasionally pull some con involving the fake service animal.

And there's very little anyone can do to her for the things she steals, etc. because of the way she does it.

But it's not really because she's a woman, it's because she's a con artist and she's found all kinds of loopholes in the law.

I think my mom is like this... Apparently, my father was a nasty man who beat her.. oh hang on, in some stories... he didn't actually strike her but err.. I don't know. However, she married him twice. I didn't get the privilege of meeting him before he died when I was 14.
I've several strange experiences with women. One in particular with BPD and I suspect is HFA/Aspie. It seems you have to marry the woman who most successfully ruins your life. She leaves you with no choice.

Based on the available information, it looks to me like there was more going on in that particular case... possibly (purely speculation here) a conspiracy between the DA and the plaintiff in question.

But in general looks like a case of a lot of things going wrong simultaneously, not just "hey, some chick cried foul and it ruined us forever!"

Although this isn't the first time I've seen something specifically in the Carolinas that made me think the local people there are a bit quick to form a mob. I have no specific evidence to support that claim tho.

So a woman can accuse someone of rape, but a man can rape. Do you really think BEING raped can't ruin someone's life?

Yes women can rape too, but men can also accuse someone of rape. Both happen rarely and are not taken seriously by police.

I get so tired of the women generalizations from the people on this website...

I fear men more than women because they're more likely to either rob me or trap me and rape me.

I have seen this happen very often to people I know, so it's a real phenomenon.

A therapist I once discussed this phenomenon with said that the women I described what awful things they do are PSYCHOPATHIC.

During the holidays I watched a Judge Judy case where a woman let dogs $#!+ all over a guy's apartment because he was a couple of days less than a week late with his rent. Judge Judy made that woman pay $2500 for all the damage she let the dogs do only because she was a little pissed about slightly late rent.

I asked my mother if it's a stereotypical natural "hormone" thing with women to get so vengeful over such a minor issue. At first she thought I was just blaming women but when I gave other similar examples of unhappy ladies messing up men's lives and stuff, she said, "There are a lot of crazy people out there. AVOID THEM.".

Unfortunately, in my own case, where girls were so mean to me, they preceded it by pretending to be nice... SO, as far as I know, I avoid mean girls because they don't like me, and I avoid nice ones because they are crazy. I've got a lot to learn yet about them then.edit:It may just be luck, but so far none have actually "ruined my life".

Conclusion: only psychopathic women USE their power to ruin your life. So, can someone please tell us guys how to tell the difference?

Yes, it is harder to prove rape, without outward physical signs, such as you mention. There was a movie, (I forget the title,) based on a true story, where a policewoman was raped by a co-worker. She always assumed he was a friend, because they worked together. One night, he asked to sleep on her couch, because he and his wife had fought, and she threw him out. So the policewoman let him in, went back to her bed. The co-worker waited for her to go back to sleep, and then raped her. Of course there were no signs of struggle, because he caught her completely off guard. And nobody believed her.

oh, dear! did he have to go to the hospital and submit to a rape kit examination before he could shower? did he have to go over and over it again with the police detectives? did he have to look at photos until he could look no more, and then, did he have to go thorough it all again at the trial? did he have PTSD afterwards? just wondering, it just seemed so awful for him, poor thing.

Humans as a whole have the potential to be evil, and make others suffer. It isn't just confined to one gender.

actually, there are rape kits for males too. theres lots of dna spillover from both parties involved.

though I agree the trauma after the fact is much, much less for a guy than for a woman.

Guys, avoid RAPE VICTIMS.
They have no empathy nor sympathy for the OP, and have responded anyway,
therefore they are the ones he should be afraid of ruining his life.

Myself, who has never had sex with a woman,
have been told by one or two of them before, "All Men Are Rapists!",
and it now seems that the meanest women I've met probably were raped.

I'm truly sorry that I have no good advice for the rape victims.

My Grandfather said, "A standing c**k has no conscience.".

Men can ruin women's lives as well. I agree with Kirska, generalisations about opposing gender's possible evil intentions are tiresome and offensive.

I must admit I get upset of women on other support sites demonising and stereotyping all males.

Try not to live in fear of unreal possibilities. Majority of women and men are respectful and caring of each other.

What really galls me is that the woman who made the accusations
(Crystal Gail Mangum) walked away from this free as a goose with no accountability. If there was anyone who deserved to be sentenced it was her. I cannot accept the fact that justice was served when she walks away free as a goose after the damage she's done.

Hey, see what you mean and maybe you're right to a certain degree. I like women and had lots to do with them when I was younger. Now I'm kind of scared of them, but not for the reasons you say. I just hate the possibility of being rejected, so I keep a distance.
But there is one thing you are to remember, both cops and judges meet all kind of ppl, so they have a way to tell. Just recently, not far from where I live, two false rape acusations was revealed in court.
