fear is a big part of hypersensitivity issues and sensory integration dysfunction. sometimes i can just get terrified by a loud sound and i jump further than others around me. Like today - i am travelling and in the city - and the fear increases greatly. oh well. i have learned to live wtih it.

My fear responses are greaty screwed up. When facing a flight or flight responce, I always stand and fight. I do not fear things normal people should. Horrar movies only bother me because of the strobe light effects in them. I only worry about natural disasters because my house might be destroyed or my parents will force me to go to a shelter and my whole routine will be thrown upside down. I have to know about things in advance and aways have my bedroom to retriet too. I don't think I ever had a normal fear responce. If a strange person approached me I violently lashed out at them. Not because of fear but because they were invading my space. I would run across a busy street like it was nobody's buisness. Wild animals never bothered me. There was rumor going around that someone's pet mountain lion escaped and when I heard about it I announced, "I am going to sit and wait for it and then I am going to play with it." But I had panic attacks from things on the TV a regualr child would find intresting or even funny. Nope, can't say I had a normal fear response.

It depends. I'm not easily startled or scared of stuff like horror movies. I really, really hate aliens though. Like the X-Files tall, skinny green men with big heads and eyes type aliens. And ET, oh man, I hate ET. But blood, guts, and stuff like that don't bug me at all. I'm mildly afraid of the dark though, always have been.

Definitely. I've always been very easily scared. It was much worse as a kid, but it's still terrible now. Even into my teens, I was too scared to sleep in my own room. I was terrified of the dark & afraid that something was in my room. That fear was made even worse when I was about 14 & some people we knew climbed in through my bedroom window one night.. saying that it was because they were unable to get an answer through the front door. It scared me to death & made things even worse. From then on, I slept in my moms room because I was scared someone was going to come into my room at night, like they had.

I'm still scared of a lot of things I shouldn't be, though I've gotten better. I'm no where near as scared of the dark as I was when I was younger, but I still am a little. My main fears now are sounds. I'm terrified of noises. Noises from outside terrify me... even people's voices. I feel paranoid sometimes because of it.
