Top priorities this week

Write my application essay for college. And fill in all the forms. This might kill me
See a Psychiatrist next week

Next few months
Move to France
Find a place to live in France
Find a job in France
Meet some people in France
Learn how to speak French
Drink a lot of cheap wine and read the big pile of books I've been meaning to get through.

Over the course of life
Make some great graffiti
Start playing the Saxophone and Tin Whistle
Write a well respected novel.
Get a Ph.D and teach third level history for a few years.
Write a grand sweeping History book.
Then,
Leave Europe and travel India until I find an ashram to settle down in for a while
Maybe move to California for a while.
Raise some kids.
Meet my soulmate.
Start a home somewhere
Find God.
Learn some more languages. Irish, Italian, Hebrew, Spanish, Hindu or some other Indian languages.
Inherit/Win a load of money and use it to arm the homeless.
Make History.
Get into many adventures
Never let my perspective on life be dulled
Never get caught in the money and consumption cycle
Go to a lot of parties.

I wrote a lot of video games throughout my teens in BASIC.
I just found out that some people are making lots of money writing games for iPhones, when people buy them on the "app-store".

I am only thinking about short term goals right now, and I do not need anything incredibly extravagant in life.

I just want a steady job that I am comfortable with and especially were I won't have problems with people. All the job has to do is get me by. No I am not setting my standards too low, I think its smarter for me to not get involved in expensive things like large houses because if something goes wrong there is alot more to deal with,. As of right now it only needs to get me a car and a few extra things, I live with my grandma so I don't have to worry too much about rent. Considering somewhat long term, I'll just need a job that can cover a small studio apartment or cabin, plus a car, and other things. All that matters is that I am happy, get to do things I enjoy, and have a few friends. What else do I need?

My plans include:

Finish my novel---I have 155 pages of it written so far, and have edited several chapters of it.

Complete my HO scale railroad layout---I have nearly 300 scale model buildings (1/3 of them built). Also working on the roller coaster for the amusement park on the layout. I am also working on assembling the eight circus tents for my model circus.

Continue with my ministry of music on the hammered and mountain dulcimers, and stories of hope and inspiration.

Continue and complete my research on an archaeological discovery I have made---I have strong evidence to suggest in this research that a major lost historical artifact is located within this discovery area I have identified. I have placed my finding in a time capsule that was placed in a newly constructed building---it won't be opened for at least 50 years.

Finish the minor restoration work needed on my 1961 Airstream Overlander travel trailer. After it is completed, I want to take it on the road and visit the sites that it has traveled with its original owners in the 1960s. The original owners belonged to the Wally Byam Caravan Club (Airstream owners)---and this group used to travel to all parts of the world in caravans. When they went overseas, they had their Airstreams placed aboard ships bound to Europe and Africa.

Complete a book of cartoons (similar to The Far Side). I have written out notes on my own cartoon ideas---I have enough to fill up a book, but I am no illustrator.

Compile of book of my poetry.

Get my telescopes out more often. And ultimately discover a comet---big dream. I saw that garyww is into telescopes too. My telescopes are: 1. Celestron Ultima 8" Schmidt Cassegrain, 2. Celestron 90mm Maksutov Cassegrain, 3. Celestron NexStar computerized refractor, 4. Sears 80mm refractor, 5. 20x80 mm Oberwerk Deep Space binoculars.

Make a CD of music on my dulcimers and/or synthesizers.

I know I will think of other plans as soon as I submit this. But these particular plans are among the most important to me.

An Airstream can set you free.

A person without a telescope does not have the right gear for living on this planet.

"Get a license plate on my Jeep "

Have you just not done it yet or is there some sort of reason you can't get it registered?

Everything I ever planned or wished for I've either got, or resigned myself to never getting. So, no more plans.

Have you had a job that was lost due to budget cuts?
Atleast fortunately for me personally I can't see too much how this economic crisis of sorts will directly effect my simple plans unless the cost of more basic things sky rocket like gorceries, electricity, gas (again), etc.

I disagree, and plan to fully enjoy the global recession. I'm not much of a materialist, so all these falling prices just make it easier for me to compete while working less. It'll make it more socially acceptable to be on social welfare too - which I might try out for a few months. Why not? let the state nurture another artist . Embrace it. Join the dole queues, smoke rollies, go to raves and live cheap. There'll always be something to get in the way of your plans, but recessions offer a lot of opportunity if you're not born into the global proletariat. Most of us here were pretty lucky when it comes to that

For some reason automobile registration seems to be an intrusion on my indivduality so I put it off until I get a couple of tickets and then buckle in like some wuss and go crawling into the DMV like a garden slug and get in line with all the rest of the slugs.
I hate being a slug.

slugs are pretty fine creatures. do not worry. a slug is actually quite an evolutionarily advance gastropod becasue it has discrded its spiral shell. (johno told me.)
