I've done that before with Win98 and could sit there watching it for hours it was so fun! In the end I was like "will the structure ever be finished?"... Anyways, I'm not the only one who has done that then.

I did that a few times... back when I defragmented drives... I haven't defragged a drive in a while because they're so big now and defragging takes too long.

Yeah, the computer I built about a year ago has about a terabyte and some change for hard drive space and I've tried defragging it a few times but I eventually get tired of waiting and stop it. It makes me miss the defrag-free files systems of Linux. I just like games too much to go cold turkey and quit Windows, though.

We do have a sense of humor even though we're not supposed to.

I thought only NTs were allowed to have a sense of humour. I do have one too :) It is just very different from most people's.

That was with the Norton Optimiser; I'm now using AusLogics BoostSpeed which is much quicker but I don't get to see the blocks moving any more

If that's any indication then I am most definitely somewhere on the spectrum. (don't worry, I know it's not)

I used to do this all the time, unfortunately(fortunately?) the only defragmenter I have now is the one that came with Vista 64. I also have a tendency to watch filling progress bars(the old seti@home screen was one of my favorites) and incrementing or decrementing numbers like the bit counts while transferring files over a lan, or a stopwatch.

I thought that was because of my allergies.

Think that you don't belong anywhere you go and no matter how hard you try everyone wants nothing to do with you. :(

I know you meant for this to be funny but I find it depressing.

I should add that I miss all of that when I go on Linux

This one pretty much says how I felt about it.

...if you recognize yourself in the "you might be an Aspie" jokes and you don't know if you should laugh or cry.

.....when you dont hear the person right in front of your face talking to you but you can hear the dripping from the sink all the way from the bathroom and the bathrooms all the way on the other side of the house

....when it takes you 3 times as long as a normal person to look both ways and go after stopping at a stop sign

...when somebody is being sarcastic, you take him literally

When you constantly refer to your internet life in real life...

That list describes pretty much my life, lol.

You know you're on the autistic spectrum when your family isn't shocked or surprised when you rock or handflap at the dinner table.
