Take care of those who can't take care of themselves.
Take care of animals since they don't have a voice.
Do unto others .........
Not much else

P.S. Don't trust the government any further than you can throw it.

Talking to someone once or a few times doesn't make them your friend, especially when you talk to them on the forums

Some people like to whine and not do anything to change it

Smart people learn from their mistakes, stupid people don't

People are afraid of things that are different because they don't understand

Learning disabilities doesn't just mean problems learning in school, it can also mean problems with anger, problems with self help skills.

Schizophrenia doesn't always mean hearing voices and having hallucinations, it can also mean the thinking patterns that are incoherent and your speech

DSM Criterias suck

Aspies are capable of being mean just as anyone else and capable of having the same opinions as anyone

People are too coward to be honest so they do white lies and sugar coat things

People actually click on links in another tab or IM window when they are in the middle of something important such as paying their bills online or paying for things from an online store, anything important (learned that today)

Lot of women like jerks

Men will take any woman, even if she is a witch

Lot of men are pigs

Everyone does an aspie thing

Don't ever try cheering an aspie up with "You seem normal to me" "That happens to everyone" "Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses" even if it's your genuine thought but I still do it anyway because they need to accept the fact we are not special and stop acting like one else can't have our problems except us and we are no different than everyone else because we're human too.

Normal is a setting on the washer

Yes, I also feel this way, but that is good point you make Greentea.

Life has taught me that sitting and waiting for your situation to change will do nothing but prolong the waiting time even further.
Life has taught me that people's intentions are rarely genuine and that if you want something done the right way, do it yourself.

...the main lesson? Life has taught me that I'll never be what I should have been.

I add that to my "what life has taught me" list.

That life sucks and take up opportunities when you can because some can lead to you regreting it later on.

Being nice can take you far but don't let people take you for granted.

Don't always assume that people know what we're talking about when we go on a rant.

This is the one that has made a difference in my life: Don't let the fact that we have AS control our lives.

Very GOOD advice, and all quite relevant to my current situation. Thanks!

I've learned in life to always treat people with kindness despite the fact, there will always be those person(s) whom act like tyrants that will try to manipulate you or potentially do worse but, that does not represent all people so, I try to give humanity where it is due..

That I can learn to do things like making good eye contact by practicing it over and over.

That I will never lose my Aspic qualities and I will never be NT.

That I can control some of my sensitivities. (If anyone has conquered the reaction to perfumes I'd like to hear from you.)

That I can discipline myself at work and be effective at my job.

1. Be true to oneself.

Even though this an issue for me, because to be true to yourself, you must, of course, know yourself. Identity problems aside, I've learnt that putting on a front to fit-in with those around you is never worth it in the long run.

2. Be mindful of the moment. Don't dwell on the past or worry about things to come.

3. Listen to the other side of the argument before commiting yourself to any sort of belief or opinion. More than often, somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

That's all that comes to mind right now...

I, my abilities, development are not defining normal. Other people learn, think, develop different than me.
