I was an excellent escort, but a piss poor hooker. I could shine on some guys arm, but when it came to intimacy with some stranger, I just didn't have the patience nor the passion. I found that being a sex phone operator much easier, no muss, no fuss, no condom to flush. Just a click and a hang up and they were out of your life with no sheets to wash, every contact was 'safer sex'.

I feel the one factor that has motivated me in my life is I don't want to be homeless anymore.

Yes, motivation is important. Go see any motivational speaker ... they will all tell you that you need a driving force ... a desperate reason or desire for wanting the money before you even start thinking about how to acquire it. I guess this is to compensate for lack or inadequacy of the greed gene.

I know someone who got very rich in multi-level marketing (Amway or similar) and is now a motivational speaker. His driving force was that he wanted to see if there was any income that his wife couldn't live beyond. I'm not joking, that's what he tells people.

A successful man is one who earns more than his partner can spend. A successful woman is one who finds such a man.

Pet sitting.

I think I read you like animals ages ago. People will pay money for you to stay at their house and look after their pets.

Actually, it's a desire to make it in the world in which I have.

I don't feel this need at all.

Food is everywhere, as is water; shelter is some minor work away if it's not given to you due to living in the first world; there's nothing really else needed--it's all just luxuries.

I have this desire too.

I think the best thing you can do is to create a detailed long term plan. But first you need to figure out which direction you're going in. The best way to do this is to try and get as much work experience as possible in as many different areas. Get out into the community and try different things, to see if there are any career paths that suit you.
Once you've picked something, do a Uni or Tafe course in it and then go from there.

Alternatively, there are many ways to simply make money (although none of them really make you feel like you've achieved anything, believe me I've done several).

*Apply for your standard wage mediocre job. If you apply to enough places (hand your resume out to say 40 to 50 different shops/supermarkets in your area) you will eventually get one of these jobs.

* (if you're musical) Buy a cheap guitar, teach yourself, and learn songs off the net, then apply for a busking license in your area and go from there.

* Ebay

* Volunteer for pscy experiments and that sort of thing (if there are any places doing that in your area).

* Baby sitting

* Have a market stall and sell craft stuff.

* Offer to teach something (if musical, any sort of interest, if artistic, run a painting class, if good with computers, put together a sort of basic "how to use your computer properly" workshop, etc)

I am alway astonished by how good your life is to you Daniel. I hope you never have to live with the difficulties others do.

Why did people bump this :| hey. For anyone that does want to make money I got inspired by MoneySavingExpert to claim back heaps of money I was technically entitled to, and find ways to save money / make it elsewhere. Just an idea.

I've never been able to think of a way to make money. There is nothing I want to do that would make me any money.

1. Get a job
2. Win the lottery
3. Diversify your bond portfolio (whatever that means, a lot of millionaires seem to suggest it lol)
4. Sue someone you don't like
5. Get a new credit card and spend other people's money

6. Buy my book "How I made money and how you can to".

What are you good at and interested in? If you're good at maths, you can use the exploit built into gambling, though that requires seed capital and has a low - but guaranteed - payoff. If you're good at writing, sell them, maybe using Kindle Direct. Start with what you're good at, and then find a way to use that to make money.
