People are often very close to their opinions. Whether or not it's technically an attack, it can be a provocation. Even attacking an opinion in an aggressive manner (meaning, more than just debate) can be provocative.

I'd recommend we all cool down and post elswhere for awhile. This thread is going on far too long and nothing but more anger is coming from it.

But wait,
And i do mean this respectfully.

I am not getting angrier.

RobertN seems to be in the same mood as he always seems.

Nobody else seems heated.

C'mon Sophist admit it, its you, isn't it.

That is ok we are allowed to show emotion. And i am sure that there is a history behind this that i am not privvy to.

But making the statement you did is generalizing (slow down RobertN, that was not your cue), But your statement has not hit moronific (i don't think its a word) status.

I tend to think more in terms of frustration, resulting from redundancy. Would that be an accurate assessment?

But please do not cheapen my arghuments with your continued lamenting over a topic which apparently is final. I fear that no matter how well formulated my thesis is, that your presence over your past issues will only serve to aid in a wrongful ruling on my subject.

To be honest, I don't really care what you think, or want, old chap. You've contributed almost as many posts in your short time here as I've done in nearly a year — so, if I want to comment I will. If you don't like it, then that's tough.

Ugh... ascan, this isn't about you. There is an entire moderating staff. If you have further qualms, approach us about them instead of randomly bringing them up in unrelated posts.

You are more than welcome to contact ANY of us if you have anything new to bring to your arguments.

I didn't say it was about me, so don't try twisting this around to provide ammunition to accuse me of thread derailing! I've said my piece on the other matter, now I'm looking at your mistreatment of RobertN. Bringing the other matter up was, however, useful in that context.

I made a valid point about your conduct. You called him a bigot that makes you — as a moderator — appear like a hypocrite.

Edit: But I'm not saying you are, just that the casual observer could draw that conclusion. And I don't intend my comment as a personal attack — enough caveats, I hope.

Yes, but it is a very fine line between refuting beliefs and attacking a person. Please keep it civil guys...

Same here.

I really try hard not to pollute.

I try really hard to be libertarian and respect others rights.

Not all Americans are to blame. And those who are, most likely are doing so out of ignorance. (Or perhaps they don't care because the rest of the world fails to care about that person as an individual.)

Assigning blame is not productive.

World domination is. So let's take over and make all things right.

Ascan responded,

In general terms and most of what i have read from you, I AGREE WITH. Includeing the statement above, I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY. Taken as it was quoted by you.

But that was just part of what i was trying to communicate to you.

I had concerns about not receiving a ruling based only upon this incidence if, it was perceived, that this should be attached to other rulings, prior. Your instance, for example.
I was looking for precidence being established and that would have been impossible, if it was perceived that this was similar to a previous ruling about you and your warning.

That is all, nothing meant in ill will. I apologize to you if i came across differently. As you get to know me you will find that i fumble over my words when i try to beat around the bush. Which i fear i did earlier.
Also you will notice that if i was being ornery, i would have been crudely blunt. i was not. i have a lot mor insulting words for the term lamenting. I chose not to use them because i was not trying to bait you.
Sorry for the misunderstanding,
SB²

I edited the title is this more appropriate?

Honorific

Definitions:

1. title of respect: a title of respect, e.g. "The Honorable," used in speech or writing before the full name or the surname of a social or governmental superior

2. grammatical form acknowledging inferiority: a phrase or word, e.g. a pronoun or a verb inflection, that is used to show respect to somebody of a higher status

P.S. the word moronific does not exist, i made it up! sounds cool though?

Another definition, for clarification,

Bigotry,

big·ot [ bíggət ] (plural big·ots)

noun

Definitions:

intolerant person: somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views

[Late 16th century. < French]

big·ot·edadj
big·ot·ryn

Then perhaps this should be in the other forum

Finally,

This from RobertN's signature

Quote:
"Why don't you do what you dream." - The Childlike Empress

Hecate is my Aphrodisiac.......

Biggots will be reprimanded!! !

I am looking for a girlfriend in East Anglia region, UK. PM me if interested.

That is all, i am over it completely, for now.
