The most egalitarian society, most tolerant society, whatever that is. That's if you're forced to pick any country at all.

Mine seems to do good so far - if you're MR or under the age 18 and unfit for normal schooling and never plan to work in most normal jobs.

But other than that, our ASD therapies are brilliant if you got a good therapist.

i am happy in sub-tropical australia. i live a stone's throw from some of the most progressive AS specialists in the world and i live in a small country town that is quiet.
and there is welfare if you need it.

there is a lot of world heritage listed rainforest and national park around me, and there are amazing waterholes where i go to swim.

for me, these issues are far more important than job or urban lifestyle.

the quieter the better as far as i am concerned.

nature, animals, bugs, more nature, a bit of money for painting, more nature and seeking out a quality of life that actually suits my personality and my AS traits and issues.

Any other places to consider besides Australia/NZ/Scandinavia and the likes?

Yep, in Singapore, we have to be all-round but I know I can only be good in thinking about a question and write a paper on it. Yep, maybe employers can accept my degree but this is no guarantee that they will definitely employ me. In fact competition here for job is so strong, the only way I can earn a stable stream of income is to work under my mom :( I worry for life after my mom --- after all, finances are always limited, as I do not think I am socially prepared for a real job. Sigh.

...Just like my missus-to-be always talks about how Washington State (next door to OR, and also part of the Pacific Northwest, of course) is much better than NC. She sent most of her life in Greensboro, before shifting to Seattle 4-5 years ago. So you might be onto something...

But US doesn't offer job security, man!

I recently saw Micheal Moore's film Sicko. It stated that people with AS cannot get health insurance. If one has AS and gets ill in the USA it is very bad without health insurance or is Michael Moore exaggerating?

I imagine that the best country for an Aspie (or for a Schizoid, or anybody with social problems) is a country with many avaliable and cheap land (in the US, perhaps the mountain states?).

Then, you try to wotk some years in the mainstream society and saving some money. When you have enough money, buy a piece of land (and some solar panels, etc.) and become a self-sufficient farmer. And all these preocupations about social interaction, job security, etc. disapear.

Thanks... I guess got land, will tend and live:)

And as long as we speak both Danish and English, Denmark will be more than welcome for us --- it has a labor shortage thanks to its low birth rates and brain drain to other countries... like the US.

That's only because it's harder to get disability payments and medicare insurance when you have Asperger's. I qualified because I have "severe and multiple functional impairments." Bipolar and an HFA diagnosis, with Asperger's. It depends on who you talk to.

Anyway.. about support.. There's none better than in Oregon, with social services really serving the needs of the autistic community and support groups to go to.

Not a country, but the wasteland (Mad Max, Fallout, etcetera).

As an asian, they'll be more accepting of the fact that you're better at math and science and not socializing(steriotypes).

Anywhere but England...

Well ok - being serious here: I guess I'm relatively lucky to have the sort of resources that this Country provides, but it's not a very fulfilled Country... there's so much negativity in England... not my ideal place.
