First of all do not fall into their trap. Anyone and everyone can threaten to sue but winning and losing is another thing. The Media would cease to function if we didn't have a fair use doctrine. Just stay within the rules and make sure they can't make a case of slander against you. If you say anything you cannot Substantiate substantiate it can be considered slander. Other then that you have the right to state your opinions on the facts. The copyright infringement claims are laughable. JKR sued RDR books for producing an unofficial encyclopedia that is now published according to the fair use doctrine. Being threatened and being sued means nothing. In the end justice will win out.

I really wish the parents of the 14 year old Autistic girl would have called a talented lawyer. God you know what I would have told Autism Speaks from a Lawyer's perspective? "Go ahead and sue. I'll get CNN on the other line and we can have a shot of you walking to your car saying "no Comment". I really can't wait to ask you in a court full of people "What does Autism Speaks do for Autistics, besides suing 14 year old girls with it?" Lets get this lawsuit going. To be perfectly honest I'm a young lawyer looking for my 15 minutes of fame in addition to exposing a fraud of an organization. Go ahead and prove slander and we will pay close attention to your books since you're non-profit. I'm sure the people donating the money to Autism Speaks would furl an eyebrow if they knew their money was going to sue people in frivolous lawsuits in addition to whatever else we can expose. Go ahead and sue. If you want that microscope on you do it.
