...To all:
There was a reversal on the me being rendered homeless , I am not homeless now .
I only found that out this morning .
I am okay now - as are the feet , they got re-cleaned and -bandaged this morning .
Last night while counting down to the expected eviction , I took a number extra of the perscription pain pills with codeine I take( In a sort of " let's party/escape/whatever " mood . ) , I am a bit woozy/removed from them now .
This period is the first time I've been at a computer since last nite , so...
When I pounded out the initial entry I had had only SECONDS to get it up , there had been delays at the library in getting on and signing in !
Thank you to all .
I don't have a drivers' liscence ( My liscence from another state expired for my forgetting to renew it , now I'd have to start all over again and take the test , etc. , and I haven't been behind the wheel in more than ten years . ) now .
I have noted that media tends to be more symphatetic to " homeless-with-car " !

Why? What is going on?

Umm, I'm confused.... :?

But look at the resources that some members have posted for for you. I remember being homeless and it was tough. I mostly lived in one shelter after another but got with a good person who let me work while living in a hotel room for a while. Now I live with my dad.

Take care of that foot and don't get hooked on those opiates, they can get dangerously addictive especially for one in one in much pain. Get to a doctor if anything, your health is your number one concern right now!

Can you stay with family till you can move somewhere else?

If you can then you can apply for public assistance.

I know its rough for you right now and I'm so sorry.

But ask your family if you can stay with them until you can apply for housing assistance.

i do not think this gentleman has the means to purchase a car :(

To buy non-functioning or barely-functioning car: $200 or less

it is not a good idea to buy a non working car since different places will have it towed for not being moved on a regular basis

also it is not a good thing to buy a barely working or a car that has a lot of problems because it will take all your cash for repairs to just be able to move it to not have it towed and the constant cost to keep a car with problems able to move it all the time will add up to cost more than buying a new car

i know this because i have been there

and for a specific price that is not guaranteed to be available where this person is

i keep getting advice to buy a cheap thing and the people keep saying only 300 and when i find out where it is it will cost me a 4000 dollar plane ticket just to go buy it and then the extra cost to have it put in a container and on a ship to get it home

This is of no use at all to ASS-P right now.

Tent City 4, in Washington State
http://www.ci.kirkland.wa.us/Community/tentcity.htm

Still, it might be useful knowledge if this is going to be a growing trend over the next couple of years. My whole family might be living in something like this if a certain person doesn't smarten up really soon. Does anyone know of similar operations elsewhere?

The mayor of Sacramento has considered making the tent city a permanent fixture.

...I will be homeless Monday .
The outfit that had been , temporarily , giving me a room , for , anyway , one , decided I was " too messy " ( Although I think they did that , at least in part , judging on bags of stuff I had gathered together to get ready to be thrown out , gazing in early in the morning at my " ready-to-be-thrown-out or picked up " stuff and basing it on that ! !! !! !! !! ) .
I have no adult family that cares about me/whom I can stay with   .
I do have a female cousin who - deep breath - STOLE , I believe , money left to me through my mother's inheritance that is rightfully mine , stole it by LYING to me about another relative's death , then , after other things I won't go into now , proceeded to claim that 3 different relatives of mine , all of them middle-class property owners who lived well past 70 , died intestate - without a will ! !! !! !! !! !!
Claiming that all 3 left no will ( So she could keep the will out of public view . ) !
I am running out of library time now , I generally CAN check the library each day , I just don't have time to detail this for now... :x :(

Do you recieve SSI or assistance from state? Is there a shelter nearby? You need to get into a shelter for now, temporarily, and then figure out where to go from there.

You seem disabled and should be receiving some aide. My sister receives aide and the state covers her medical needs, housing, food etc. She does not live independently and has cufews etc This is the downside, but she could not live on her own or hold a job, so it is essential that she be taken care of by the state. Othewise, she'd be roaming the streets.

Does CA provide assistance to its citizens?

Sorry to hear about your situation. Get yourself into a shelter and then work on accessing some programs that will provide you shelter, food, and medical insurance.

Best,

equinn

I can't help much but get out of SF however you can and head north and then check my Site under my login name and send me an email PM me or call me on Sunday night or Monday morning and we'll figure out something to do for a long term arrangement.

I've been reading this thread, and I'm really touched and impressed at how much people are trying to help, and showing that they care.

Whoever says people with AS/autism don't feel empathy don't know what they are talking about.

ASS-P, I wish you all the best.

ASS-P, I live just south of San Francisco. Send me a message via this website and I'll figure out how to get you transported to wherever you need to go.

Garyww: If you can make an arrangement with Napa social services ASAP, then I can arrange for transport to new living quarters, if that is an option.

I work full-time and am not familiar with how social service agencies work, so I have little time or knowledge to offer. But the thought of ASS-P (whoever you are) on the streets with diabetic foot wounds is quite troubling, so I do feel driven to offer what assistance I can.

Depending on the arrangement, sometimes you can get an eviction notice set aside by whoever handles landlord-tenant disputes in your area. If you're a normal tenant, with a formal lease, you should have recourse, in which case you could postpone the eviction while the case is heard (or perhaps it's too late this time, but for next time). My building manager tried to get me evicted, but since I had no where else I could afford to live, I fought to stay on and the Residential Tenancy Office backed me up (she used an invalid reason for eviction). I found the RTO's address on the eviction notice.

If you don't have a lease it may be even harder for them to actually remove you from your place, depending on what the arrangement was in the first place.

Sunday's a bad day to be finding out, though, since offices are closed. Good luck with this.
