Hyper / Hypo sensitivities (including using internet)

I find it interesting that the internet is a big stress reliever for many of us in the spectrum, however, for me there is enormous compulsivity around it, for this reason I have to limit my use otherwise I end up 'hot-wired' and adrenalized and thus over-sensitized.

I do find the internet of great value for me with re connecting and feeling less alone with my aspie-stuff, but I am having to learn the difference of being 'drawn' to the internet and being 'driven' to the internet. One has a life affirming quality to it (Drawn) the other has a life defying quality about it (driven).

I know what you mean, I also have to limit my computer use, also limit TV watching as well. I dont know why but visual stuff like this makes me manic and stressed. I find listening to music more therapeutic.

Me too................music weaves it's wonderful sutures around my aching soul. The internet can often be antagonist to the sensitive parts of my being.
