I find that most people will graciously accept my apology; but every once in a while someone will tell me that my expression of regret wasn't sincere enough, that I was just trying to change the subject or have the final word. I have to admit that it does bother me when someone doesn't acknowledge or accept my apology in the good faith in which it was given.

It annoys me when someone (like a teacher) tries to MAKE you apologise for something, but that's like asking you to lie because what if you ain't sorry because you still believe that you were in the right?

I've always refused to apologize if someone owed me one first because they started it.

Why do people have to make the victims apologize first?

Like in sixth grade, the school staff tried to get me to apologize to my bullies but they were teasing me so I defended myself.
