Yep. My mother always comments on how I'm out-of-breath when she calls me. I pace at home sometimes when I'm stressed or thinking, too.

Yes---I pace while I am on the phone. It is very difficult for me to sit still while talking on the phone, so I usually move about from room to room, back and forth.

Sometimes I do, especially if I'm talking to someone who isn't a close friend. It's kind of like stimming because it happens due to nervousness/discomfort.

Yes I pace on the phone, it helps me maintain my train of thought.

Although pacing can be a stimming behavior associated with autism, I think a lot of neurotypicals do this to. I used to have an NT friend that did this.

Yep I pace up and down like a lunatic whenever I'm concentrating on something, whether it be the phone, music, or my own thoughts. I'm hardly even aware of it. I think a lot of NTs also pace while on the phone, although maybe not to the same extent.

Yeah, I'm not a phone chatter, either. Get to the point and get off. But I too pace, or wander from room to room - and these tiny little Zoolander nightmares called cell phones drive me crazy - they're too small to just tuck under your chin while you multitask, like land line phones were. If you have to look for a document, or turn pages, I've gotta put the damn thing down, while I get distracted, and once the info is in hand, I have to go searching for the phone again!

Well, there's a solution to those.... any bluetooth headset, or even better, a retro handset.

I pace when on the phone, as does my mom. My dad can't stand seeing us on the phone. I preffer avoiding being on the phone, though.

Thanks, but no thanks. I can't stand having something stuck in or hanging from my ear - and when I see people with those in public, it looks sooo stupid and geeky and annoying. Nothing makes you look crazier than wandering around in public shouting to yourself.

Massive pacer.

Pace in house, yes, but also long insane walks. THen I started to run. It seems I have no end point. I used to run 3 hours a day till I got hurt and it is hell .

Now I try to walk. I still have to move like 3 hours a day......

I move and pace like a hamster. I got bit by one and my family jokes that I have hamster DNA! It is that obvious.

haha same here. I run like mad, and walk everywhere where normal people drive (or at least cycle). and I walk so fast that nobody can keep up. I also bump into people because of that (hard to walk around an obstacle with this speed).

and on the phone, I pace and lift objects and drop them at random places, and then when the conversation finishes I usually can't find the remote :p

I don't use the phone much, but when I do, I can certainly wear out my shoes. I pace back and forth, and I suspect that if I could climb the walls or walk on the ceiling while I was talking on the phone, I would. :)

At home with my cell phone, I have a tendancy to pace. But at work, it is a regular telephone set, so I can't pace. And even, must it be a cell phone or a headset, I think I won't pace at work :D
