I had severe hyperhydrosis until I had a sympathectomy when I was about fifteen (surgery where certain portions of the sympathetic nerve are destroyed).

It affected my hands, armpits and feet. I tried everything up until the operation and they were all failures. Itchy and stingy topical sprays, electric current baths which burnt my hands once and twenty two botox injections in each of my palms. :o

The sympathectomy was a perfect success for me though.

Heat used to bother me more when I was younger. I would get dizzy, headache, and feel queasy at only 80 degrees when I tried to work outside. Now I only feel hot. However, if the weather is hot for a long time, I feel brain-dead. I cannot think well and remember things I usually know, like numbers and addresses.

Yes, most likely due to hyperthyroidism.
My mom has that too, and she's neurotypical.
It's probably not an AS thing, just genetic.

I'm not sure if I was hyperthyroid when I was younger. Now I know that I am hypothyroid. I take medicine for it. Actually, my heat problem when I was younger was partly because I did not sweat enough. I would get very hot, but I did not sweat.
