My handwriting is decent but I'm terribly slow. The reason is that I hate cursive so I print pretty much everything in block letters. Only use cursive for my signature which is mostly scribble with few discernable letters. I much prefer typing.

Often I am the only person who can read my handwriting. I think it's pretty nice looking, but I'm in a minority. I have been able to make it more legible recently though.

I write really fast, so it might be more readable if I slowed - perhaps.

My handwriting is easily readable but far from beautiful.

I can describe my past and present handwriting in one word: Awful. I remember my adoptive mother called my handwriting "chicken scratch". My teachers were all trying to encourage me to write in print, which looks like a toddler did it. I don't like my handwriting one bit which is why I try to type as much as I possibly can. The only time I write my name is when I have to sign something. When I do write something, I have to write very slowly or readability is gone. I guess my motor skills went down the drain because of the FAS.

It's one of the reasons I first started using computers, so I could write diaries/log books that I would be able to read six months hence.

BTW... That was a 1k Sinclair ZX81.... Long time ago.

I remember those days. I have a Timex Sinclair 1000. I also have the Timex Sinclair 2068. My handwriting is awful.

Yes that is why I graduated high school with a 1.4./

I used a computer in college and ended up with a 3.7 - yes that big of a difference. I always got back my papers which said "messy".

Yes it has, my handwriting is turkey scratch. I rarely have to write by hand now since most work I do requires typing anyways. It's only in class work and tests where I have to hand write and sometimes, I can't even read my own handing writing.

My hand writing is horrible. I always say I have the hand writing of a 5 year old dislexic child.

my teachers used to be angry at me about my handwriting, even got worse grades for it. every exercise was written in different style, it looked like 10 people were writing in the notebook....

I have always struggled with handwriting/printing. I can draw quite nice looking printing, but only very slowly and only in isolated bursts. More than a few words and the result begins to loose legibility quite quickly.

I know now from reading about problems in children that I do not have good grip (I grasp the writing implement far to hard, but when I deliberately hold it looser, I cannot control it and often it flies out of my hand).

Learning to type quickly has been a godsend for me. My handwriting is so bad that I even have trouble deciphering it myself sometimes. The only reason anyone else can read it at all is because I was forced to take handwriting improvement courses in school. Didn't help as much as they were supposed to, however. As a child, I was told that my handwriting was so bad, that I should be a doctor when I grew up. :D

My handwriting is and has always been more scary than legible. And I don't think my handwriting has ever shown any signs of improvement since the day I learned it.

Yes. This is why I either print or type.
