the only people i have close physical contact with now is my parents and my sister (when she visits.. she got married and moved away last year.. V_V) my family doesn't like hugging me, though.. cause i tend to cling. so i'm not given physical contact willingly very often. lol, i wouldn't mind that too much as long as i had nowhere i absolutely had to be (if it was up to me, i'd never have to be anywhere.. lol. a world without deadlines would be bliss.. :D )

he he he... the only people i have close contact is my parents right now and its awfully lame cuz its not that close at all except with my mom, i tend to lean over and rest my head on her, shes nice soft and warm. a lot of people dont like hugging me because it freaks them out how even though im extremely weak i still tend to cling and not want to let go  so a lot of people dont like hugging me or giving me contact :(

my mom gives me the most contact.. or, should i say, puts up with my clinging more. lol. i like to snuggle up next to her while she's laying in bed watching tv. she's soooo warm!! and soft, too!! but, she gets annoyed sometimes because i tend to "pet" her.. XD cause she has really smooth skin and soft hair. plus, i can't seem to see the personal space bubble she says she has, so sometimes i get too close and she makes me leave. :(

i don't think anyone should be denied contact if they need it... it just doesn't seem right to me. :(

i agree extremely strongly that no one should be denied physical contact, ESPECIALLY SOMEONE WITH SENSORY INTEGRATION DISORDER!! ! I THINK IT IS SOO WRONG!! !

I love being in water. I don’t know why, I just do.

I love the feeling of my faux fur and suede blanket I have on my bed, it’s comfy and warm, but I like being snuggle under my blankets anyway. It’s a wonder I get out of bed everyday.

I love velvet; I have two velvet lap blankets I keep around in case I feel a bit chilly. I’m a tad bit addicted to velvet.

I like being in small confined areas, like the corner of room where my computer is., or in a comfy, small car. I love small spaces, because I feel safe.

I have a habit of wanting to touch anything that looks soft and warm. If I spot a blanket or article of clothing that meets those criteria, I feel like I have to touch it.

i love being in warm/hot water but i cant stand cold water... has to be 98.6 or above and below 120 degrees fahrenehit

i cant stand fur, faux fur, any fur unless its extremely dense because the sparse furs are too tickley for me...

i love velvet too, i wish i had some of my own... i also love neoprene and other soft silky fabrics... especially neoprene because it hugs you all over... i wish my whole wardrobe were neoprene.

i like small areas too, probably why i like getting MRI's ha ha... the noise doesent put me to sleep but allows me to think so fast its like a supercomputer running in my brain at that point.

i also have a habit of touching anything thats soft and warm or vice versa... and if its somethign someone is wearing and i know that person i ask for a tight hug!

Cold water is a no can do for me as well. I have my limits on water temperature. I don't do hot tubs either, they can just too warm along with me thinking about how dirty they may be if they're used publicly.

I took the removable faux fur collar off of my coat until I could mash it down to where it wasn't tickling my neck (I stuck it in between some heavy books for a few weeks.), that bugs me having anything like that near my face or neck that tickles.

I've had on MRI and I wanted to sleep in it. Sadly, they wouldn't let me.

I feel better for knowing I'm not the only one that does that. I don't ask for too many hugs though. I feel a bit odd, I prefer getting them from just my family.

i wish my skin was smooth.. i have a bunch of little bumps all over my upper arms and legs, as well as my chest, and i think my back... donno really what they are, but they're hereditary, cause everyone on my dad's side of the family has them. :? sometimes i rub my fingers on my lips, though. but i bite myself more than i do that.. lol!! i gnaw on my hands/wrists sometimes.. not hard enough to draw blood or anything, but i like how it feels. maybe some kinda pressure thing, as well?? plus, it scratches.. and i looooove having my skin scratched. light pressure doesn't bother me for the most part... but deep pressure is definately much better!!

i completely agree!! it's like.. neglect.. or something, to deny it!!

i dont use public hot tubs, i use our bath tub! know that clean!! !

cant stand that kind of stuff on my face or neck either!

ive had several MRI's in the last year... if you close all the lights off, and leave the machine off i bet i would fall asleep quite easily too... and you can have your own MRI machine for just $10,000 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... =p3907.m29 her her her... and if you ever need an MRI you can just have the radiologist come to your house and do it there... dont even need to go to the hospital for an MRI ha ha ha!

yeah... nicky is also a clingy person... i am very very clingy! i ask for hugs all the time! i feel odd but its what i have to do!

same goes for me... our water heater is set for 120f and tend to use up whatever is in the tank... so parents get pissed every time i take a shower! i cannot take baths anymore because of how hard they would have to work to lift me in and out of the tub... now its a sliding transfer board for me, i slide into the tub to a bath bench and slide out to get out of the tub...

im not really that clingy now but when i was younger i was like always hugging and my dad was ok with it when he would come to my grandparents house and sit in a big lazyboy chair i would jump onto his leg then fall asleep hugging him, he was like a big overstuffed pillow

since im now more grown, its a bit hard to cling on to anyone without them thinking im immature or acting like a child,

oddly enough with this disease i have its almost like a sensory disintegration disorder... so im even more clingier than i was a year and a half ago before i had symptoms for this disease! i personally dont care what people think childish or immature its part of my disease and autism so just put up with it!

I feel the same way. I don't know of anyone who's too keen (besides my husband) about having a grown woman clinging to them when the need comforted. I've just come to accept it's not something that's wanted. I'm suppose to be a big girl.

Am do not like the blood pressure things because am have always had it done in situations such as being in resus.
after having accidents, injuries or illness, before going for general anaesthetic in hospital or IV sedation in dentist place [find hospital an extremely difficult place to cope with in terms of sensory overloading and unpredictibility] and am unable to unassociate the two in mind.

I love very strong pressure too, i cant tolerate light touch either unless its a certain type of light touch in a certain place, for example one of the very few light touches i like is getting the back of my neck right over my spine stroked. I have always since i was young never been one to pull out of hugs unless they were the whimpy real light kind... i like very deep tight tight tight hugs, i also LOVE tight warm sweaty sticky hugs. for me its both being hugged and also the pressure i love... the tighter i get hugged the more i think the person loves me.

about the blood pressure cuffs i had never associated it that way... probably because its been something thats been being done all my life as part of well check ups since i was a baby so i tend to not associate it to bad things.
