No, that picture is one of Heather's photos.

I've been watching all season and I'm still not sure if I believe that she's an Aspie. She's definitely awkward and geeky, but she is also does a lot of NT things. I've also noticed that everytime someone leaves the show she's the first one to start crying.... she's way more emotional than the others.

I'm the opposite. I feel that it's obvious that she has AS.

Yeah, I haven't known people on the spectrum to be less emotional than people off the spectrum. They're just poorer at naming and controlling those emotions in a socially acceptable manner.

I agree completely. I resent the tag that Aspies are "uncaring" because they lack ability in intuitively understanding social code, for me it's more that we care too much, rather than too little, and as a result of that over-stimulation we seek solace by retreating into our shells - we seem to lack the thick outer skin that most NT's seem to have.

It's a bit like saying that Dyslexics will never make good writers because they are poor at reading and spelling, when with the right help and tools they are often very creative individuals.

There really shouldn't be any question at all about whether or not Heather is AS. On the very first show during the questioning, Tyra asked her "When you were 13 you were diagnosed with a disability, how did that affect you?" or something to that effect. She talked about getting diagnosed, etc. Otherwise, I guess we'd have to go to Valpo (Valporaisio, IN where she's from and confront her doctor). I'm pretty sure her OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS has been addressed. I know you late comers weren't party to that. Fate was guiding the telly remote the night it aired and I tripped on it.

She's certainly an aspie. No question about that and she does know about WrongPlanet.

How? Has she said anything about it?

Thanks for backing me up Alex. There was a big blurb about her having Asperger's on the first show. I keep trying to tell you that! She talked about being diagnosed and how difficult things are for her sometimes. I was trying to find a link to actual episodes, but couldn't find one. Maybe someone else can help there. From the previews of the first show, she had a melt down during episode 2.

Did she say something about it in this clip?

Tyra Banks sp? (is that her name or am I thinking of a pornstar or something?) asked her about it in that video, but in the video below Heather talks about Aspergers directly.

But she hasn't mentioned Wrongplanet directly on the show?
I took a look at her deviantart page today. She didn't have a lot of artwork up there, mostly kind of Anime-inspired cartoon stuff.

I hated to be outside my own room when I was a kid and still I don't want to ever get any kind of social skills. The clip was interesting. Trusting others is overrated in my opinion.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were asking if she has talked about Aspergers directly on the show, not WrongPlanet.

Ok. The scene where she sits alone drawing while the others are bathing and jumping in the pool is interesting.

Haven't really paid any attention to this before but I just watched the vids.
She sounds like a fantastic person. It's interesting to see how the other social contestants and judges react towards her behavior.
Hope she continues to do well.

What really struck me is that shot where she is sitting with her nose in her notebook.

You have to believe I didn't pose for this - but someone took this photo of me about 2 years ago when I was on holiday at the coast - but I was sitting inside making beads. The similarity of the mood is startling. It's not an attractive photo - one of the goofy one's I've never liked, but Heather has made it famous!

She's definitely a stunner. I'd say she's the most attractive girl on the show by far. I generally prefer girls to not be that skinny, but compared to the rest of the girls on the show, she's the most beautiful. I'm just talking physically the most beautiful.

Wow.

She is really cool. Today is the first time I've seen her.
