Yeah, I haven't known people on the spectrum to be less emotional than people off the spectrum. They're just poorer at naming and controlling those emotions in a socially acceptable manner.
I agree completely. I resent the tag that Aspies are "uncaring" because they lack ability in intuitively understanding social code, for me it's more that we care too much, rather than too little, and as a result of that over-stimulation we seek solace by retreating into our shells - we seem to lack the thick outer skin that most NT's seem to have.
It's a bit like saying that Dyslexics will never make good writers because they are poor at reading and spelling, when with the right help and tools they are often very creative individuals.
