Gratuitous hugging.

You know, everything females around me seem to love.

So you listed pretty much everything that made my childhood with a strongly feminine mother a living hell. I still can't get into any of those things, but it's been a long ride for me to realize I was more androgynous than female, anyway. I actually like the terms: Xe, xir, and xyr, all those pronouns to stay gender neutral.

I agree. I only eat it if it's an ingredient in a recipe, then I can't taste it.

I eat mayonnaise straight on slices of bread.

I really dislike all condiments, I've gotten so much grief throughout my life because people can't wrap their heads around it. Other things I don't like include:

- Tomatoes
- Loud bass
- Sweet meat, like honeyed ham
- Fat on steak (oh god noooooo, makes me wanna gag)
- Tights (idk how other girls wear these)
- Milk
- Styling my hair (I do it, but I hate every minute of it)
- Socks
- Horror of any kind
- Almost all TV

I know there's more but this is what popped into my head.

Mayo! Mayo! MAYO!! !! !

When I go to any bodega here in NYC and order a roast beef sandwich I tell 'em to put on mayo. They ask how much....

"The white man's level, please'.

Always comes in perfect :)
Nice and sloppy...

And have done the mayon between sliced bread :)

I hate lawns. They are a stupid, manmade construct that is no more "living" or providing for life than concrete. Made yet worse than concrete by people repeatedly wasting many gallons of drinkable water and dousing them with chemicals to keep them green.

I hate "lol", " ur", "u", " tho", "2", etc and see them as contributing to the destruction of the language and the dumbing of society. I hate them even more when used by someone with access to a full qwerty keyboard. I have however been inundated with "lol" enough though that i no longer deeply cringe when i see it.

I hate it that people think we're superior to, and differentiated from, all other life forms; and as such are entitled to take and destroy as we please.

What are your thoughts on artificial lawns?

About the same as regular ones.

The main positive (for regular lawns) differences being that regular ones can be composted when removed, and do allow birds to access earthworms below - assuming the soil below is still viable and the lawn is not too compact. Additionally, grass lawns, if allowed to grow, could provide nest material for birds and shelter for some bugs, but then they wouldn't be a 'pretty, manicured lawn'.

Artificial require plastic and chemicals in their creation but don't for maintenance, so it's probably 6 of one.

Your thoughts?

When I lived in San Diego, a lot of people made 'lawns' out of different colored gravel. Didn't require watering and did not require plastics or create other environmental issues.

I thought that was kinda cool. Couldn't really do anything on it though.

I like watching extreme horror films but I'm sure most people would pass on 'em.

I've always liked nix, which means 'nothing'.

I cannot watch any fictitious movie that is designed to cause an adrenaline rush. Very painful for someone with SPD. No violence or horror for me, ever!

Also there are tons of rock lawns in New Mexico.

Bodegas are good for a hero or something.

They suck as a place for food shopping.

And....sometimes...they are fronts for more shady dealings.

Do you live in Manhattan, zkydz?

I'm lucky I live way out in Queens, near the Nassau border--so I could just drive to a big supermarket, and get good values.

Sometimes I have thought about a natural lawn. Designed with beneficial plants that grow naturally in the region. That way they are already adapted to the area, and there is no need for excessive watering or pest control. It's just a part of the ecosystem, but designed to look pretty.
