A pretty wide variety:
Big band/swing-Dorseys,Glenn Miller, Les Brown
Celtic (particularly Christian)- Iona, Eden's Bridge, Mae McKenna, Clannad, Cherish the Ladies
50's/60's-Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Beach Boys

Currently Christmas tunes of course. Personal favorite right now is a big band collection I got from Pottery Barn with Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Billy May, etc.

I know it's a little weird but I stopped listening to music years ago. Now I listen to the NOAA radio or talk radio so low I can't really hear it.

Before that change I loved:

Grateful Dead, JGB, etc
Pink Floyd
Allman Brother Band (<1971)
all bluegrass
Weird Al
Cream
Blind Faith
Pretenders (I know, but... "it's all right")
Willie Nelson
Merle Haggard
Hank Sr.
Asleep at the Wheel
Hoyt Axton
Best bar band ever: Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen.

err, and many more that don't come to mind right now! Old classic and psychadelic rock, bluegrass, (good) country, folk...

Except of course, at the end but not forgotten,

JOHNNY CASH!

Finished with my woman 'cause she couldn't help me with my mind
people think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time
All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify

Can you help me occupy my brain?
Oh yeah

I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find
I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind

Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal

And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but it's too late

Most of the time, I listen to contemporary Christian music. My favorite contemporary Christian artists include the Newsboys, DC Talk, Michael W. Smith, and Michael Card. I also like to listen to Jewish music, Israeli folk music, Celtic music (Clannad, Maire Brennan, Lord of the Dance), classical music (Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Dvorak, Grieg, Russian composers), and classic rock (Deep Purple, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Supertramp, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin). For me, contemporary Christian music puys me in a good mood.

I have really odd musical tastes myself. I tend to go through phases where I pick a certain set of songs from my collection and listen to them repeatedly. Right now I'm into another heavy jpop (japanese pop music) phase (i'm a big fan of Globe, Two-Mix and Romantic Mode, plus lots of various anime opening/ending theme songs) I also get into an 80's mood a lot and start listening to 80's stuff.

Heh I recently gave up and started just labeling my custom mix CDs by what mood they're for. One of my favorites is the one labeled "FTW", which stands for "F*** the World". I listen to it when I get stressed out, which is quite often. it's got a lot of heavier music on it...Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Garbage, KMFDM, etc. I also have one labeled "ABE" (Anything But English), which I listen to when I want music but don't feel like listening to anything that will engage my brain's verbal centers. It's only got five songs on it right now though, as I was trying to get songs in a variety of langauges but didn't have very many (Right now it has japanese, german, croatian and hindi on it, plus one song without vocals.)
