For me, either a weeknight, Friday night, or any time on Sunday.

What about Sunday at The Galleria?:

We meet by the tall elevators and then walk the
mall together. I need some going-out clothes
anyway and it would be a whole lot more fun
to shop if I had a posse with me :)

You guys game?

Oh please give me some time..we still don't have power. The place is a mess...We have not been spending any time there because we are so tied up in our office.
It would be at least a couple of weeks before I would be ready.

Don't worry about it, Olivia :thumright: No rush.

In the meantime, any other suggestions for a location? Taft Street sounds plausible, though on Sundays, there are throngs of people around at certain times. Maybe a Saturday around lunchtime would be less busy?

I'm curious about the Discovery Green in downtown. I've never been there but have heard nice things. I'm not sure how the parking situation works, though.

I've been down to the arboretum in Memorial park. I would love to have a bunch
of Aspies to walk the trail with, I think that would be really neat. Also thinking about
maybe a visit to the Fine Arts Museum or the Natural Science museum or the zoo!

Thoughts?

I believe on the first Sunday of every month, the MFAH is free. I went there last month. They have some interesting exhibits going on :chin:

I hope Ike didn't rip into the Arboretum too much. It's definitely a nice place to walk around in when one wants to be around nature.

i know the mfah is free on thursdays, but some people are probably productive members of society and have weekday jobs. i enjoyed the menil but my favorite parts were chatting with people before and after (and cy twombly - wow.). so maybe something more social than art appreciation? i still vote for drunken sleepover, even if it happens outside the context of a roadtrip to austin. if you want to get to know people and enjoy their company drunken sleepover is tops.

BTW

I have tickets (multiple) to Maker Faire (makerfaire.com)...
It will involve a road trip, lots of Geeky things, and beer!
