(This was great advice! When you don't understand a thing the worst thing you can do is open your mouth and let them know you don't understand. Silence with a slight smile seems to give the impression that you do understand and know more then you do: I could hide my ASS for nearly 35 years doing this.)

Haha! Word on this one! True, true, truuuue!

You might be an aspie if you're terrified when your father tells you he has found the internet log(which you of course know is stored and available at your ISP's website) and are immensely relieved when he jokingly tells you that he has seen your pin-up girl websites. After all, you have spent 60% of your waking time reading about psychotropic drugs.

Wow, that was an intense relief! And explaining that I've only tried weed a couple of times would have been far fetched!

I can imagine it..

"So, can you please tell me... Why is the log full of MDMA, MDBD, amanitas, DMT, 5-meo-DMT, BOB(yes, it's actually called BOB), methylone, LSD, LSA, deadly nightshade, ketamine, shrooms, TMA, DMX, salvia, 2cb, 2ce, ghb, an mdma synthesis manual, peyote, barbituarates, benzodiapines, opiates and much more? Time for rehab!"

"Well.. I don't use a lot of drugs. I just think it's interesting"

Hmm... Not the scenario I was hoping for, and not the scenario that unfolded. I'm happy! ^^

"It's what normal people do."

"Well, I'm glad I'm not normal. I'd hate to have to do that all the time."

you might be an Aspie if wikipedia is your best friend!

You might be an Aspie if family and coworkers now know everything about the Vampire Chronicle books by Anne Rice, yet they have never read them.

You might be an Aspie if your child is the one getting the evaluation yet the Psychiatrist have to ask who lined up the blocks..you or him. And you answer "Ahh me."

Ah, be nice. I dont like Palin either, but its entirely possible for an aspie to take her(it?) as a special interest.

I am sure Hugh Hefner has a special interest in her too.

if... You've ever spent too much time deciding on a multiple choice answer. Or not liking any of the choices, because they don't provide the right option, don't comply with the intent of the test, etc. Ten points if you've sdded your own selection or refused to answer without clarification.

I mean, really... Prefer a trip to a museum or theatre?

I'm assuming Theatre means live-play based on available reading material.
I'm assuming that Museum implies common itemery and plaques with petulant authors.

Both involve other patrons being present. Both involve scripted paths or tales determined by others. Both involved tour guides/ushers. Perhaps a museum schedule would not be as restricted as that for a theatre, but that's convenience rather than preference...

oh.. and you analyze your refusal to respond and overdocument your reasons, and feel a compulsion to share them with others, who you feel just may be interested in the topic.

You mean this post? (note that little icon just above every post to the left of "Posted: ", followed by the date the post was posted? That is the link to that particular post.

YMBAAI you write posts like this...

YMBAAI it bothers you that hyperlinks on this forum aren't a different colour from normal text and prefer them to be a not to bright blue.

Yeah, I think Hef and I probably like the exact same parts of Sarah Palin. The rest is a matter of taste, I suppose.

Someone mouths something or hand motions to you about something and you have to walk up to them and have them speak to you about it before you understand it.
