What I find strange is the lack of anyhting inside her head. But it's amazing how different it can look when you look at part of an animation, especially a graphic/violent one like that, when you see it animated you can miss out on all the details, that's why I posted that.

It reminds me of that song:

"Tic tac toe, three in a row,
Barney got shot by G-I-Jo."

I can see Barney in that pic.

My avatar is of course, Angus Young, of AC/DC. A hell of a great guitarist.

My new avatar is a picture of the ballet company I danced with doing Les Sylphides. By the way, I am in the picture.

Look at the kneeling girls on the life side of the picture and look at the third one, that's me.

You're a balletomane! That's so cool! I don't dance anymore (never really loved to dance), but I adore ballet and want to be a ballet historian. Both of my parents were professional dancers.

My mum was in performance with Nureyev when she was little. But she did somehting even cooler than that. She dated Baryshnikov when she was 17 (he was 26)!

I thought you might want to see another picture of from when I was in my ballet company, vetivert. Here it is:

I am the second shortest.

My latest avatar is a picture of a yound woman in a generically 19thC dress. I like it because it represents all the things I want to be, pretty, feminine, sweet, graceful, etc. etc. The person I see that girl as is the person I want to be. This is a nice thing, but sometimes it's also depressing <sigh>

Wow, Bec!! That's so cool that you were in a ballet company!! My grandmother lives near the Chautauqua Institution, and we go see ballets there when we are down there. Last week I was there and we saw a very good ballet, actually 4 short ones in one program. We spend the week at our grandparents steeped in *culture* ooooh, it's wonderful!!

BTW, is that quote from Mystery Men?

It's a quote from Billy Elliot. It's the scene after his audition when one of the judges asks 'What does it feel like when you're dancing?' My signature is Billy's answer. Billy Elliot is my absolute favourite movie. (Yes...I know...more ballet!)

I love Billy Elliot, too, it's a wonderful movie. Haven't watched it for ages, though. <looks thoughtfully at movie cupboard> maybe I should. Hey, Amelia should see that movie, she'd like it, too!

/me bounces in excitement ! !!

don't get me started! i took ballet lessons when i was very young, but i was too short to take it any further (this was nearly 40 years ago, remember, and i was extremely tiny until i was 13).

professional dancers! dating baryshnikov! i am practically dribbling with envy. :)

sylvie guillem is my favourite. saw her in a forsythe triple bill, years back, in my favourite ballet ("in the middle, somewhat elevated"), and nearly exploded. it was astonishing. (it was also the world premiere of "tombeaux", which was designed by jasper conran, and absolutely gorgeous). as you can tell, i like a lot of the contemporary stuff - ever heard of the lunatic louise lecavalier who used to dance with La La La Human Steps?

incidentally - the picture of you at the barre - it's difficult to see who's shortest, cos of the perspective. care to tell me how many from the left you are? :)

still bouncing... :D
