Do you mean dropping food on the floor and picking it up or do you mean sitting on the floor eating?

If one of your teachers makes a sarcastic comment about subject matter and you take notes on it.

If you never catch on to the sarcasm and write it on a test.

If said teacher then makes up a sarcasm signal to let you know she is joking.

If she tells the entire class the signal is for you and you are relentlessly teased for years about it.

you haven't changed your shirt in 8 months

you hyperventilate when you see anything related to your special interest.

you have an Anxiety attack before meeting a friend

You line up everything in your room

You Collect random objects you find on the street

Your friends (if you have any) say "please stop talking about sonic for 5 MINUTES!! !"

You have to cut off all your hair because you cant brush it anymore

Oh My God! Is that REALLY an Aspie thing? I've been bringing home all sorts of things I find interesting in the street since I was a young child - and I'm 46 now.
My mother used to call me 'the magpie'. When I was a kid, my marble bag was full of interesting rocks, odd shaped pieces of tree wood, bits of metal that I found interesting - basically anything I found interesting to look at.

...if a particularly beautiful musical piece brings tears to your eyes.

...when, upon putting on a pair of headphones, you suddenly feel safer.

You know you're autistic when you find yourself delaying important events in an effort to further study that which is relevant to your interests.

When you are interested in fire alarms and at the same time, scared of them.

You can name your favorite xxxx * you admire her for her work ethic and her "special talents" you like how she explores previously unexplored methods , best of all she gives as good as she gets ! your in = opportunity hater .

Actually, on this one, I agree with aussiebloke.

I must admit, I picked this up myself when I saw it but didn't bother to say anything.

I do have a few Special Interests that have been with me my whole life (or a lot of it) but they tend to ebb and flow in and out of popularity over the years BUT I have a main one that is all consuming, takes up ALL of my time and is on my mind no matter where I am, what I'm doing or what the time is. My Special Interests do also end up costing me a lot of money but I wouldn't say I have a wide-variety of interests. I'd say I've got a couple of main Primary Interests that change around from time to time - and then there are my Secondary Interests that also come and go but on a much slower orbit.
