She definitely displays autistic nonverbal communication behaviors in the Youtube videos earlier in the thread. Even if she probably tries to hide some of it. IMO, if someone displays autistic nonverbal communication, one is also autistic. ;-)

Which of her behaviors would you classify as "autistic nonverbal communication behavior"?

I happened upon tonights episode and checked it out. They were shooting a music video with vampires or something. Heather seemed to pull off the vampire look pretty decently... being all pale and famished. Needless to say, she needs to be more careful about not eating anything all day. 8O
I feel for her. Sometimes I barely get to eat anything all day and I end up like that.
Anyway, I had no doubt she'd move on.

Well, about what I said earlier...
What happened was-I went to the Wikipedia site and checked it out.
I saw Heather won and Ambrial came second.
But when I visited the page the second time it didn't say anything.
So now I'm not sure if I really saw it or not.

It's been bugging me all day.
Maybe I just imagined it.
But I'm sure I saw it!!

Heh heh heh. Somebody leaked the ending, maybe?
At any rate, Heather was the Cover Girl of the Week last night, and the vampire video is pretty hot (supposedly may be viewed, at least in the US, at www.cwtv.com, but I can't find the video on the site). Heather rocks.

A couple of the other girls couldn't resist making snide remarks about her, jealous. She rocked again, good for her!

Same here. I was seeing flashes of myself in the past. I often don't realize how many hours go by without eating, then I start getting weak. Down side of a fast metabolism.

Hard to describe. I've looked at several of the Aspie female's videos here at WP, and she had some of the same types of atypical facial expressions as them. Somebody really should do research on this topic.

Yes, she was stimming as well.

Spoiler alert:

According to nwi.com (Valparaiso's local newspaper), Heather finishes in 6th. So we have two more weeks of her. Damn.

EDIT: Link to story: http://nwi.com/articles/2007/10/28/colu ... 713f5d.txt

(sorry, I was too lazy)

Ugh. Wish you hadn't posted that. I thought you meant it would be a spoiler for last night's show, which I've already watched! :(

hey, it just says
Heather Kuzmich, 21, of Valparaiso," one of the 13 women competing on the CW Network's popular reality show "America's Next Top Model," has made it to the final six week stretch.

THEN IT SAYS
"Once we get to November sweeps weeks, we will know which one of the final remaining eight ladies walks the runway home with the grand prize for this season's "America's Next Top Model: Cycle 9,"

so it's no spoiler. Sheesh, that would be like saying who won Suvivor or The Amazing race. Ain't gonna happen in no home town paper.

Did anyone see the preview for next week? Sounds like Bianca picks on Heather and pushes her buttons one too many times and Heather explodes. I'm kinda afraid to watch it because I hate it SO much when that happens to me. I already wanted to wail on that classless formerly fushia-haired jealous turd during this week's episode but I'm sure by the end of next week's I'll loathe her even more for messing with our girl. I just hope it's rightfully Bianca who'se made to look bad by the producers.

Ugh. She was already (if I'm thinking of the correct girl) picking on Heather for "having it too easy" this past Wednesday. Though it's a good sign they're feeling jealous of Heather.

Don't know if this link will work but just saw this. I bet they scold her for standing up for herself.

Oh, I didn't like that video at all. It makes it look like they're going to make her look freakish. I really hope they don't.

you know, I find that people that aren't like us want to see us 'go freakish', you know, poke the bear with a stick until they roar into action then shame them for reacting when provoked. They see it as entertainment; after all it isn't like they take teasing us seriously, and too bad if WE cant' take a joke.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but especially since the girl that was supposed to be the "plus-size" model got eliminated last week (ostensibly for losing too much weight), I wanted to point out that Heather is a beautiful girl with an "invisible" and also very-much-in-the-media disability. What could be more of-the-moment, and make Tyra shine more as a wonderful, generous person, than by making sure that an autistic girl wins the competition? I mean, they don't have a girl with Down syndrome or a girl with CP on the show. They have a girl with autism.

Well, let us hope that it won't be a case of affirmative action causing Heather to win, but rather her skill as a model, and her nature as a human being.
