Where did that darn geology thread go?

I'm new here but I came up with a few I didn't find already (although I haven't gotten through all the pages yet):

-You have a complicated system to deal with your disorganization.

- You have to make a new grocery list every time you go to the store, even though you always buy the same thing.

- You consider your car "extended storage."

- You have missed the exit for your house on the way home from work, even though you've been going the same way for four years and know the numbers for every exit and mile marker in between.

- Every hot pad in your kitchen has burner marks on it (or is that just me?)

If you identified with Wesley Crusher on Star Trek.

If you never remember to look where you are parking, even though you always forget where your car is after you leave the store.

Right here, captain!

If you only get around to trimming your toenails because if they poked a hole in your favorite socks you'd freak.

If at some point in your life, you've actually considered the physics behind the revolting, yet impressive, snot rocket.

If you've ever created your own star charts in an obscure language. (a real one, mind you)

If you recognize ...69399.... not only as from pi, but immediately see the why those 5 numbers are so beautiful together.

If you have just had one of those quick solutions , worked out how to hopefully benefit Aspies , how to link this back to UK government funding , which minister to contact and how , how to bring simultaneously down a eugenics regime in the USA if required , how to move on to another evolutionary stage of a fairer power sharing between neurodiverse types ,

and you forgot to do the dishes and ate two more chocolate bars than you should without realizing you ate them , which is why your NT wife is now shouting at you.

...if you go through social situations with the question 'how do people normally behave?' always at the back of your mind. (Even if the social situation is posting in an aspie-forum.)

You know in your mind and your heart that mainstream society isn't all it's cracked up to be.

... if you wear a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up (even indoors) all year-round even on nice sunny days.
... if you get kicked out of commercial book stores after being told multiple times that its not a library.

Are you sure that's ONLY true of people with AS?

One of the early comments made about my son when he started school was about his reluctance to do "non-preferred activities". I thought, "Well, DUH, they're non-preferred!"

- If you have ever added to this storage to fill all available seats in your car to deter people from asking for rides because you find driving stressful enough without adding company.



- If you have not only done this, but have done it more than once in the same drive (on a bad day I can miss my turn up to five times).

If you are not sure if your favourite animal belongs to Tardigrada or Gorgonopsia.

And you cant talk about it to anyone you know cause they have no clue what you are talking about.

... if you go ahead and talk about it anyway to anyone who'll listen.

And you are suprised and dismayed that yet again nobody understands what you are talking about, nor do they appreciate your gift of knowledge. So you resolve, never again will you dumb things down for the plebs. But you will, but it will never be enough.

... if you're unable to follow the 'official' discussion about Huysmans' 19th century novel 'a rebours' at your seminar at university, because you're so impressed by the main character being described with all characteristics of an aspie.

YMBAAI you postpone making book reports because of the 'synopsis' part and the 'opinion' part is always like:
"It was a good book, good story."
YMBAAI when writing something, you write everything at once, with everything in there.
+10 points if you do this with drawing, too.
YMBAAI you draw from details, going into a whole.
YMBAAI you show typically autistic behaviour in all things you do besides day-to-day life.
