If you go to the grocery store, purchase several boxes of the same food item, and, when you go to the cashier to pay, she says the store can special order the item for you by the case.

Bonus points if you nod while looking anywhere but her face and mumble, "Thanks."

Not that I've ever done this...no, really...I haven't...

YMBAAI- you read the above post and actually wonder where a store is that you can order such things by case and go through various simulations of asking for discount, how much etc.and then chicken out at the end of the sim.

You also go into intense problem solving mode wondering if there is a vegetarian alternative to phrase "chicken" out due to proximity to food shopping context.

YMBAAI- you are in the ER haemorrhaging and the nurse asks you if taking illegal drugs as your blood pressure is dropping and you explain to the nurse in a calm and logical manner that it is the blood loss that is causing your blood pressure to drop and why because medical disorders is one of your special interests. This just makes the nurse think that you really are on drugs because normal people would usually be freaking out.

If your house is so dark inside because you forgot to take off your sunglasses and turn on the lights.

If you read a classic play, know the plot by heart, the characters by name, and what happened in each scene . . . but fail to notice the metaphors.

If you cant get high on drugs, but high on school homework.

If someone asks, "What time do you have?" and you reply, "I have plenty."

If you get the shakes when your sibling is talking to you while filling up his/her drink at the same time.

If while on computer you develop a repetitive behavior pattern, get bored with doing it, and write a program to do it for you.

You develop another one with running the program, you automate that too.

When you try to get drunk, just to attempt stopping your deductive reasonning.

when your mind can not think with such questions of how was your weekend?
freak out at the though of having to go up to a stranger in the lecture room as your pushed to mingle by your lecturer, grrr

Have never understood the fascination other females have with shopping ! Have not darkened a store in the mall since online shopping became available.

...when the only productive fiction you can write is fanfiction because you know every single detail about a musician and can base a story on his real life experiences meshed with your real life experiences...but there is no way in hell you could ever write a piece of fiction from scratch because the thought of making up completely fictional characters with their own thoughts, emotions, and actions scares the living hell out of you despite your ability to make sentences sound breath-takingly beautiful.

...if you feel like an alien everytime you walk into a room with more than 3 people

...if you have to go lay down in your dark bedroom because you have 3 people in your apartment that you know well, but just can't bring yourself to attempt conversation with them

...if you sit in an offset room with your dad while every single other person at a small family wedding is socializing because your dad is the only one that likes to avoid people as much as you do

...when you hide behind a shelf while at Walmart (or any other large supermarket) everytime you see someone that may possibly recognize you due to the fear of being forced into 'smalltalk'

...if you have an uncanny ability to block out everything going on around you because if you don't you will have a meltdown

...when you make a list of things that you need to make lists for.

you've just been slapped and have no idea why...
