Heather is not only naturally beautiful, she's smart and artistic, which is why she's wiping the floor with the other girls in this competition. As she put it in one interview "it's not about taking pretty pictures it's about making art with your body". She understands about composition of shot and takes direction amazingly well. She'd be a dream to work with as she's also quiet and sweet natured.

Very well said. Never thought I'd be admitting to watching ANTM, but Heather's totally worth it.

Well, as we all know, we Aspies do have another side to our quiet and sweet nature, and it looks like Bianca is going to learn all about this tonight!

I testify, people love to poke us with a stick until we react. Being provoked is no excuse, I suppose, but watch out Bianca! Unfortunately, in the eyes of the world, it is the person that reacts that gets the axe, not the provoker.

been there, done that, got the boot mark on the back side of my butt to prove it.

It's good to see other aspie ppl in the media & tv cuz it shows that were not this stereotype of "dumb" or "weird" or "ret*d" to me you could still have big dreams & still have a disablity (example:albert einstein). It's good to show that were not just geeks were beautiful were talented were gifted :)

Good news: despite her angry outbursts on the show tonight, Heather once again advanced to the next round (amidst cheers from the bleacher seats).

I am two thirds the way through the November 14th show and my heart aches for her. Personally, I think Binanca might have what is left of her hair burned off in her sleep.
Not that I would do anything like that! Not now, when I am sober and off drugs for years!

see? this is what happens when Aspies have no choice but to deal with NTs all the time. They get STRONGER and learn so fast. Adapt, adapt adapt or die. GO!Heather!!

Man, that was just painful to watch, though. I felt so bad for Heather, and wanted to smack some of the rest of them. You wanna talk about feeling empathy... I felt so bad for Heather when she flubbed her lines. I tell you, that would be me. Scratch that, I would never get nearly that far (then again, I would never do anything like that, but that's another topic...).

I can't believe that I'm actually watching this show (normally I detest reality shows and especially anything related to beauty and fashion), but I would be rooting for Heather even if I didn't relate to her, being an Aspie, and all. I seriously hope that next week that the blonde with the bangs in her face goes bye-bye. She's mean and drives me nuts. :p

I was actually watching this with a small group of co-workers that gather every week to watch this show (otherwise I would have never seen the show to begin with), and I think everyone was rooting for Heather.

Anyway, go Heather! Woohoo!

Oh so she's not Aspie enough? What stereotype of autism should someone be in order to fit the criteria? A lot of people with AS are very, very good at mimicry, keep in mind.

And the comment about her being too skinny actually hurt my feelings.

Anyways, I think she's fantastic and setting a great example. She's doing something with her life, is clearly able to function in society, and I'm tired of people who have this stubborn notion that people with AS are "ret*d", unable to live on their own, weird, etc.

For all we know, she is a member already. However, I can't blame her for wanting to remain incognito.

I am so proud of Heather. Just watching the show nearly gives me a headache at times - all those girls running around in that house, all the arguing, all the frantic actvity. She's holding it together remarkably well if you ask me!

I felt bad for her mini meltdown too. Even worse about the stupid girls who were laughing.

It led to a conversation with my husband about meltdowns. He doesn't easily understand the concept of one's bucket being FULL and not one more thing (not one more bit of stimulus) can be poured in without causing the whole thing to tip over. That tip over point is the meltdown. I get them. I try to warn him that I'm overloaded or overwhelmed, and more and more as I get older I'm able to put my foot down and tell people that I have to have 30 minutes of down time first and then I can resume helping them. I never used to feel I could ask for that downtime, and would just keep pushing on through until I collapsed (like Heather in the club).

I like her alot. I hope she does very well not only in this competition but further beyond - in life. There are worse things to be than a model. She's beautiful and she can be someone in the spotlight that helps the general public to understand Asperger's. I think it's all very very positive.

Go Heather!

Get off the couch, turn the tv off, and quit being brainwashed.
