I had an exelent time. Everyone was very gracious with me and my stuff.
I did bring the Pizza cooker, set it up, and after through inspection was ready to go, but entirely unnecessary as someone had brought turkey and all the cool turkey stuff that goes with it. It was awesome. Thanks to whoever did all that.
I got Ice.
Now I can honestly say that this was one of the best birds ever. I should have brought some shears to cut thru caritlage as as I sent runnoff flying everywhere during my poor attempt at carving, chunks of tender juicyness was the best I could do. at least I wasnt skimpy with the helpings. But this was one of the best cooked turkeys and everyone should ask Jeff from whence it came. I think it was slow cooked somewhere.
I got tuned on to the Onion News, hyabusa powered Smart cars, And an Airstream with deep orange shag. And some very greatful chows.
I shared my book collection on the subject of my primary obsessive fixation, Lotus Super Seven. and my aspie book collection wich I need a break from.
I really appreciated being with folks who patiently tolerated my show and tell party.
I do recomend Look Me In The Eye by Robison for everyone to read for a first Aspie book. It is the book that started me on my aspie journey.
As a note, Although John is now a recognized aspie expert, author and speaker, He wrote his memoir after his diagnosis, but before he fully dove into his education of the spectrum. He wanted it this way so his recolections would be as first person as possible and wouldn't be influenced by additional education or "subject experts".
Like many aspies, Johns refuge was his devotion to his talent, electronics and more specifically sound equipment. Self taught, John had worked on sound system electronics and modifying guitars with special effects for KISS. and this is a huge understatement.
Today John is happy fixing land Rovers.
